EA SPORTS UFC 4: DEFENDING STRIKES IN BACKSIDE POSITION (EASY)

Here’s my problem man. I will be in an exchange and my hits aren’t landing because I’m canceling them by pressing block too soon, putting them in too fast or slow, or some other shit. It seems like it’s always perfect for them to counter me in striking but when I try to even without pressing block or putting them in too slow rarely do my “precise shots” land. It sounds like you need to work on your timing when throwing combinations. Try and throw strikes as your opponent moves towards you and catch them just before their strikes land. It's difficult at first but you'll get used to it the more you play the game. I'll also be uploading more striking videos in the near future so stay tuned!

IC4Games thanks for replying! You’re absolutely correct! After I settled in I actually have my opponents getting gassed in the first or second round which makes for easy pickings. Thanks man.

Can you block strikes in side control the same way?

In side control you can’t block strikes so it’s a very dangerous position. But if your opponent postures up in side control then you can use the right stick to move your head.
