This is awesome, I have a plug n play motion sim that I have spent more money than I would like to admit too. What i see here is a custom DIY sim that the owner has put countless hours into building, Yes he has spent money but he has spent more time than money, building each item with DIY Carbon Fibre, 3D printing and DIY electronics. I commend you for the effort and passion you have put into all these projects to pull it together for a second to none simulator experience. Immersion is everything! Also don’t listen to the haters that say this is overkill or anything else the jealousy manage to try and bring you down. They can only say awful things as they don’t have the skill to do such a build! Keep up the good work!

It doesn't, but it's not too far off. A full motion sim rig like this could cost upwards of 20k. The only people who should be buying shit like this are real racing drivers looking to get an edge in their off time.

Does having the pedals and wheelbase detached from the motion seat not throw off your braking? I would imagine having the seat bouncing while youre trying to threshold brake being difficult to adjust to.

I like it, except all that build up and then a seat mover. Go with a four actuator unit like the dk2 and add some simulated G forces like the g-seat and you will be on a whole other level with all of your already awesome custom sim racing stuff.

The rig has RS Mega+ 4 actuator system already, seatmover was hard to sell so i kept it in for some time. Now plan is to put surge and TL on its place ;) RS comes with Thanos 7U controller, almost all the needed parts are sourced so now is only a matter of time.

@@Simlife101 I used SimHub as it is easier to program the arduino. Keep in mind that funky switch always presses center when you you press direction so two buttons are active. In SimHub i managed to make it work when configuring it as matrix and putting center in the highest pin number, or lowest, do not remember ant more - then the code registers only one input. I also did this in code for my latest project but it is more complicated. This is a point of a seat mover ;) It simulates fast G-Forces and is actually quite good

@@Tryant69 in the car you have acceleration, when you go forward your body is pressed to the back, when you brake - you are pressed to the wheel. Going sideways also same thing. Seat moves fast and simulates exactly that - pedals are mostly at the same position, your upper body moves relative to wheel.

@@57uyo I understand what it's simulating but it's not natural to have only your seat move and not the pedal and/or the screen. Seems more like a good idea for a spaceship sim without pedals. Sure you will get used to it but for me the pedals not moving would make it extremely annoying to me having my body move but my feel need to stay on the static pedals seems really crazy. EDIT: Wait you entire rig also has motion? I see 4 motors in the corners. So the rig moves and the seat also moves independently from your rig??

@@Tryant69 yep, i have full motion and keep the seatmover too for extra effects or night drives (i do not power the full thing to keep noise down). I will be removing at some point and changing to true TL and surge, but still the seatmover is very convincing and has better acceleration than the full motion
