Well...Alaister feels more mexican, cause HE IS mexican...he was born in Mexico City and all his childhood lived there...culture is in his blood...Zach has mexican roots but he is third generation, lost the language, but Al teach him sometimes.

A simple start for Alastair to reclaim his Mexican heritage is to vlog in Spanish. Zach will continue with his English and Alastair will speak Spanish only and turn on the auto-translate in KZbin. Trust me: you'll see a flood of new Spanish-speaking subscribers coming to your channel. It happened to Adam's & Bernardo's Steps of Two Foreigners KZbin channel when Bernardo painfully translate accurately into Portuguese subtitles for his Portuguese subscribers. They also banter with each other in Portuguese sometimes so it helps a bit too. Auto-translate is a good way to start in KZbin. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to both of you and your dog family and your entire families. I took my Lab-rottie Mopar for radiation and chemotherapy and he loved to go and condidered it "puppy camp" . The docs and techs just loved him. Every chemo treatment he would stay overnight and get picked up the next day. He wanted to stay do I let him. He would stay in the office area of the clinic and one of the girls said he was her "study buddy" at night when she worked overnight. They said he never got sick or minded the chemo treatments. Hope Winnie gets well.

I've been marathoning the videos of yours I'd missed, the couples therapy one made me realize I need to focus on writing. And this one, well I've been living in California my whole life, it's a very diverse place and my friends come from everywhere. Most of my loved ones are Mexican and speak Spanish. I studied French in high school, and while I still want to get better at that and perhaps move to France one day, I've always felt I should learn Spanish since it feels like something that should be a part of me. I am not trying to say it's the same thing as Alistair at all, but with all the traditions I celebrate with my friends and how their families have made me feel so welcomed and loved, I am more motivated now to learn to speak Spanish to better express what these people and what they have brought to my life means to me. By this same metric Tagalog should come one day, but one at a time. Anyways it was wonderful seeing you with your cousins
