You could do a characters get weaker, for example you can start in super Saiyan and then detransform when they hit yellow life so you can finish the fight with the weaker character, that could be cool!

I know it's different from the theme you're thinking of, but each time you win, characters get dumber. Starting with characters like Gohan, ending with characters like saibaman and Aniraza. Save it for a trash talker you know is gonna kill more of your brain cells the more they talk.
