FYI Watching this video today allowed me to bind and fly my E010. I use Jumper and saw that you set your RX to MJXq. As I switched to RX1 it bound immediately. All I had to do was invert my elevator. Thanks...

How do you get the MJQx protocol to work on your transmitter? I have a DEVO 10 (deviation v5) and MJQx has an asterix next to it and won't give me the option of binding.

Nope, and I was coming to the realisation I'd need to install a module to get it to work. New to this stuff...thanks for confirming my suspicion. Now I have to source the module and figure out how to install. This hobby is so much fun!

Hi FMH, you need the module as this doesn't use spektrum dsm. It uses the nrf module.

I have the NRF24l01, but if your going to mod it I think you might want to look at the new 4 in 1 that only require 3 wires soldered on. goo.gl/KJoMr0 This module includes the NRF24l01 but also 3 others which will allow your devo to control many more vehicles and receivers.

hey Nick, i ordered a devo 10 but the 3 in 1 module is not going to be in stock for quite some time. I want to use the devo primarily for eachine e010, h8 and to connect to dsm2 and dsmx. do I need the three in one or would you recommend installing 1 or 2 of the individual modules? there is a 4 in 1 module but it's not clear if it will work with the devo. thanks again

For the E010 the NRF24l01 module is needed. I think that module also has the h8 protocol, but check the deviationtx.com website to be sure. To fly DSM2/X no module just the deviationtx firmware which will be needed to work the nrf24l01 module too.

I didn't realize how easy the devention site is to use. looks like the nrf module is pretty much the only one I need and possibly the axxx (forget the actual name). there is also instructions on how to build an all in one module which I may opt for. I appreciate the time you put into the hobby. I'm just getting started and am addicted. I especially love the micro stuff. I live in a seasonal area and the Micros look like a blast indoors.

Hi there, I am trying to bind the Poke FPV (Nihui NH 010) to my Taranis QX7 w/4in module, the Poke uses the E010 protocol and it binds with the Eachine E010 transmitter. When I try to bind it in the E010 protocol on the QX7 it won't bind. That doesn't make sense to me, to have one transmitter work and another on the same protocol not work. Any help is much appreciated, thanks a million.

No it will require the NRF24L01 module in a deviation compatible transmitter. The devo 7e, 10 and others, check the deviationtx.com site for the specific on the module and installation.

I think so as it uses the nrf module which is part of the 4 in 1. However, deviation sometimes has to hack the protocol and without deviation on your th9x, it may not work. You can go to the deviation forum to ask.

Doesn't have to have the 3-1 module, only the nrf24l01 module and deviationtx software. If the 3-1 your looking at has the nrf24l01 as well as others it gives you access to even more protocols.

Hi, so I still have a devention devo7 transmitter that I once got with a walker quad. Now im thinking of buying the new Eachine E010S do u know if it will bind? and do I need to make like software changes on the transmitter? no idea how to do that really. I did get the devo7 to bind with a eachine 250 racer quad I still have. Just want to know if its a lot of work to bind or rather just buy a fleshy transmitter. thanks

typically when a new model is released with a new protocol we have to flash a new version of deviationtx. Natively the devo doesn't have the deviationtx firmware that must be flashed. And often an additional radio module is needed. This requires a purchase and opening the radio.

It would be a new window at the top left says MJXq then a horizontal line and then Format to the right will have the arrows pointing to the left then a named protocol then a right arrow. Hey Man U seem pretty smart so I have a question. I bought a eachine eb185 and I can not figure out how to get my Devo7 controller and a Devo rx601 receiver to work with it do you know how to do it?

Is the receiver bound to the devo? Looks like its a pwm receiver, so each output from the flightcontroller will need to be connected to the receiver. I am not familiar with the eb185, but one side of the flight controller will have the esc connections from the motor, then there will be another connection with wire/s and connectors to plug into the receiver. It will take some trial and error to get them all connected to each set of pins on the 601 for throttle, elevator, rudder and aileron but it can be done.

The button next to the bind on the devo 7e is the protocol to set the radio to. The protocol depends on the receiver and if you have added the module to the devo. Typically if you bind once its set forever, unless you set it to bind again.
