Yamaha has really accelerated the evolution of sound and music on planet Earth with this ultra cool EAD10 Drum Module technology. Thank You, Yamaha

Room reverb is just great. I love the simplicity of this setup. One mic in the optimal position renders instantly mixed super fat drum recording.

#3 and #45 sound completely useless to me but the gated reverbs are pretty cool. I’m not crazy about the way it picks up the cymbals; they’re missing the high end sparkle. Otherwise it looks pretty cool, although quite pricey.

U2WB the phaser is shite. No one uses it for more than 2 seconds in demos

Agreed. I mic my kit, as well as using the EAD. I'll often cut off all effects, and the trigger. I run everything through my board. It gets pretty pricey, but I get an "honest sound", don't lose any cymbals, or toms that are either far away, or too large. When I want some added effects to my bass, or snare, I'll occasionally use the module. Basically it allows me to use Rec n Share, as well as add some effects, if I'd like

Hi I really enjoyed your video, thank you so much for sharing this information. I'm thinking about buying a Yamaha EAD10 to record my band's songs. Do you believe the sound quality that the EAD10 records is good enough to be in a quality recording? Thanks for the information!

Hi on gigs I always mic my kick drum can I use this as well?
@SonorGeek053 жыл бұрын
Can I use just 1 or will I need 2 for an 8 piece kit? 3 rack toms, 2 floor toms, 2 snares, and 1 kick, and 5 cymbals. Rack toms, side snare, and 4 cymbals on a Gibraltar curved rack.

How many extra external triggers are being used here?

None. However the one time I’ve used an ead10 I was using an additional snare trigger

Hi how to do a scene because I have a Yamaha EAD10 and I was playing with it and I can’t figure out how to do different trigger scenes I I hit a button and I turned in knob and it worked before I guess but I don’t remember how I did it but I did the first time and it it was working but now I can’t figure out please help

Sorry for my silly question : Is the hit on the drums (natural drum sound) overlayered with the sounds? But how come that I can't hear the natural tom sound when hitting the skin while the EAD is switched on? And: If I play with the band are the other instruments picked up by the EAD as well and will be enhanced? Thanks.

Bobby Campbell thanks!! I can’t believe I didn’t see that haha
@bolttracks6 жыл бұрын
The sounds you hear aren't all triggered, most of it's coming directly from the mic and it uses triggered samples to enhance certain things like the bass drum as far as I understand it.

where are the cymbal triggers? in the stands?
@AtTheSourceStudios6 жыл бұрын
The EAD is basically a mic/trigger that mounts onto the batter side bass drum hoop. It's a condenser mic so it picks up everything very even and is in the best position for a one mic drum mic setup. In this video sounds like he's just using it as a mic but you can run the trigger of it too and add triggers
@rustydr15606 жыл бұрын
@@AtTheSourceStudios that didnt answer my question but thanks.
@AtTheSourceStudios6 жыл бұрын
@@rustydr1560 how did it not. I told you the system only has a mic with one built in trigger. Okay.... No there are no cymbal triggers. Also I'm pretty sure the module only allows for a few extra triggers for the drums but they're not needed for it work (obviously as he's recording using the mic)

openly lying to sell a product. what they don't show you is the seven microphones just out of frame or the one hiding inside the bass, where they are actually taking the audio from. the EAD10 does not sound at all better than a cellphone microphone. the EAD can only output from one port at a time, so its either headphones or the audio jacks, not both. the additional triggers only work if you set them up inside of custom user settings, so it won't work in any of the preset recording modes. the EAD10 CANNOT be connected to a pc for audio without a DAW/MIDI processor or usb audio interface. the app is awful, and turns everything into a low quality format.

you will never see this product being sampled on a entry level drum kit
@karenbothi80414 жыл бұрын
this kit is farrrrrrr from professional lol.. in addition, who the heck mics an "entry level" drumset
@HessianHunter3 жыл бұрын
Any kit will sound good if it has quality heads that are tuned appropriately. Most "entry level" drum kits just sound bad because the heads need to be replaced.
