Hi harry_bonkers, not exactly. You can specify the lot size you want to trade with, and as your account grows, or decreases, you can adjust the entry lot size accordingly. SImply remove the EA, and when you re-add it, change the lot size in the properties

Hi martinburlak4443, No. The EAs will work on any MT4 or MT5 platform from any broker that supports algo trading, which is basically all of them. But, make sure your broker is regulated, and the their spreads are very small for best results.

Hi user-ng6ij2nu1c, this is more than likely due to the broker, and their spreads, fees and commissions. Give it a try with a different broker that offers tighter spreads, and compare the results.

Hi jlaw9706, you can change the settings, but they won't take effect in the middle of a trade. Only on the next trade that opens. Any open trades will close using the settings that were used when the trade was opened.

Hi meschinimarco6121, it's impossible to ay how any EA will perform in the future. When we generate a strategy, we use a certain amount of historical data. So the backtest results show us the overall profitability of an EA over a certain period that we select in the past. It will go through profitable and unprofitable periods in different market conditions. The idea, is to keep all of them on a demo account, link the account to FXBlue or a similar website and monitor the performance. Then, we use the CURRENTLY profitable EAs in a live account. When we create new EAs, we use a longer time period (Out of sample) and then a shorter time period for more recent results (In-sample) for the most accurate results.. We also run robustness tests on the EAs to make sure they're as effective as possible in changing market conditions.

Hi meschinimarco6121, this is a personal choice. I usually check weekly, but you can check every 2 or 3 days. It's up to you, and also market conditions will play a factor. Sometimes trades can stay open for several days before they close, and you see their performance.

Hi @lee-annclark9983, as long as the EAs have been placed into the correct folder, attached to charts, and you have enabled auto trading before placing the EAs onto your charts, trades will open as soon as market conditions meet the strategy properties.

Hi michstockholm1164, have a look on the Metatrader platform for the minimum requirements, but you don't need a full-spec, latest-gen gaming machine. The system resources required aren't huge.

Hi zamamazibuko8111, the reason for using a VPS is exactly this. If you cannot have your MT platform running 24/7, you'll need a VPS, which you connect to. It runs all the time, 24/7 with no interruptions. It does not run on your machine, but in a server farm, in the cloud.

using the same setup on a broker other than the one it was designed for does not usually work when optimized for minimal drawdown. mt5 strategy tester is very good for getting specific settings for the specific broker.
