That's amazing how someone can look into a stump of wood, visualize a carving and then make all the precise cuts and general shaping down to such great detail. Wow!

I completely agree! It just blows me away, the "eagle like" vision of artists like this. 2 thumbs up!

Absolutely fantastic skill, I once knew a guy who could carve beautifully with a chainsaw just like this guy but give him woodworking chisels etc to carve with and he was hopeless, yet give him a chainsaw he was spectacular

keep doing your works of art on trees. magnificent job. you need to come to Iowa State Fair and show everyone your talent. Hell you can bring pieces to try and sale. Give scheduled time and days you will do a live carving. I go every yr and I've always wanted sculpture cut of my late hero, my role model, my grandpa standing next to a old lawn mower with wrench and screw driver in one hand. Can't afford the BIG SIZES but want it to be seen from my home front on small bill. Anyone have anyone in or around DESMOINES, IA or surrounding counties?? wonder about the cost for small one. hope some can send me in best arms and hands craftsman. PLEASE

Richard, them they cut down the tree not to feed anyone or treat anyone, they did cut it whatever the reason be..
@Kuefler9 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how ethical it would be to feed someone this sort of tree. This tree is not an ash tree, but that doesn't mean it was not cut down to prevent a similar infestation like the one of the emerald ash borer. It has been my understanding that these trees that are cut down are usually ones that might fall on a house, cause other sorts of damage to infrastructure, or be a public safety issue. I do know all the Ash trees that he has carved are ones that were the victim of infestation. Those pieces have special meaning, because they are a monument to their former existence. I actually believe that for all his work .All the trees, logs, and stumps that he uses, he views as "recycled". I think your comments are intentionally divisive, and as a result hurt the cause that you seem to be fighting for.
