Yeah I don't play Highfunds but #agle seems completely busted except like vs Kanbei who can resist a lightning strike on forests and cities and completely neuter it with a SCOP beforehand. If i had Hawke into Eagle I'd probably just insta-resign

Great match, love to see more high funds games. Certainly agree that Eagle's true potential in the right hands is busted on HF. HF with top players are my fav matches, you get the good strategy plus the chance to see more unique builds/units that you don't often see on standard. Copter and fighter army, we love to see it :)

You gotta play hyper aggressive vs Eagle, I think. The lightning strike is only scary if he has time to build up units, it does nothing if all he has are damaged machines.

Sothe should've backed up when Eagle has his super to get maximum benefit of mech Super. Random ways was the opposite, he was too passive and didn't pop his power to press Eagle's stolly match.

Nice games, I was following your game with Randomwayz avidly and was also wondering how on earth he could ever break Eagle after the start of the game. Improbable Might just seems like Eagle playground with the symmetry on the map leading to no disbalance in fronts and it naturally kind of stalling out. I wouldn't object to Eagle being T0 in HF solely because of playing against him being such misery, let alone having the misfortune of being subjected to playing an Eagle mirror. 😆

Tbh I thought you had lost the first game early on based on some of the mistakes that you mentioned but I forgot how easily Eagle can turn it around with his broken super power. Great video!

Can you just use Olaf and Power chain Blizzard thanks to the nature of HF to prevent the Lightning strike for happening or if it happened , you have the 10 defense + eagle air slowed ?

That base on the corner reminds me of 1 1/2 bases on Tiny Wars, except that instead of mountains, the base is surrounded by a river, though that map is so tiny anyway, so that isn't much of a problem, here though, it's clearly useless

This map certainly has an interesting turn 1 balance because it uses several ideas at once. Jade starts with 1 infantry next to a free amber city but not next to their 3rd factory. Amber starts with 2 infantry and the before mentioned free city. That city if jade starts capturing it immediately will only give 1000g. Jade will capture their third factory on the 4th day while amber will capture theirs on the 3rd. All of this because Jade has the 1st turn advantage. Is this supposed to even out?

Sensei made 2 big mistakes here - 1, letting the stall happen. By the time you have 40 + units, Eagle is OP - well beyond OP - and Sensei is much weaker (hit unit cap when popping power, and not having a significant numerical advantage since you had time to mass units). 2. Sensei power right before lightning strike (gets no charge from the slaughter).

This is the first time I seen a match where Sensei loses, even when I saw him fight the likes of Kanbei and Hachi. Is this because all the free mechs is less impactful in high funds?

imo tier1 should just be removed in high funds (or at least opted out) really makes the game not fun when it's sensei, kanbei , eagle that dominate the map and it becomes a constant mirror match. the only mirror match that's tolerable is hawke mirror. i remember my first few high fund games was a kanbei mirror and i just ff'ed and never played high funds for a while

Randomwayz had more Infantry than you before even using his power so I think his builds were kinda iffy. He was building Infantry, Mechs, and Transport Copters too much.

I agree Sensei just cannot do anything against Eagle on that map. Specially with 2 Comm. towers, cause his 9HP infantries don't wall up as good against light vehicles. I mean, not that any of his units needed firepower. Perhaps in a map with no Comm. Towers Sensei can beat Eagle.
