Awesome review! I love the design of the Bat-Tank, I just wish this model had some moving bits.

Great review! I am inspired to scratch build a tank like this out of sculpey and various parts.

That would be cool! I'd love to see pics if you decide to build one. (What kind of guitar do you play? Here is my other KZbin channel: kzbin.infovideos)

Arkham89 for some reason your link is broken. Anyhow, this would be a perfect project for the Tamiya tracked vehicle kit. I won't be doing a build anytime soon but it'd be fun to make a battery op tank to go with the new Dark Knight Returns action figures. BTW, I play cheap guitars. Bottom end Deans and a "Galveston" LOL. I'm starting a kit guitar build. Hopefully I can make the guitar I want but does not exist, as of yet!

I definitely need to get one of these but being a special release model to subscribers might be alittle difficult to obtain for me. I know I am happy that there is a least that one model out there. I have read the Dark Knight Returns many, many times and it never gets old.

The Bat-Tank is probably one of the most challenging models in this line to find. There were several Batmobiles at the top of my wish list and this was one of them. If I ever come across one for a good price, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks again for watching and thank you for subscribing.

Great review as always Richard! Really great to see the Tank out of the packaging and to see the lenticular close up. Nice size comparison and breakdown of how Eaglemoss spliced together the lenticular images too. A very well sculpted and must have piece for your collection. Cannot wait for the next review! Awesome intro too!

Thank you, Stewart. Thanks for the compliments. As you know, this is one Batmobile that I was really hoping Eaglemoss would produce and they did not disappoint. Such a cool concept for this future Batmobile and this is a great sculpt. I can not thank you enough for helping me out with this amazing series. I'm actually having a lot of fun making these videos. I'll hopefully have a new video up in the coming weeks. Take care, my friend.

It's my absolute pleasure Richard. You're doing such a great job on these reviews and they're a pleasure to watch. There are so many great Batmobiles on the way but I think the next amazing issue on the Horizon will be the Arkham Batmobile :-)

Awesome but I’d love to see this as a toy for 3.3/4” figures. Lights, sounds, maybe even a remote.🦇

This would chew the Tumbler up, spit out the rivets and then "slice and dice" Christian Bale for attempting to play Batman. The Dark Knight Returns is easily one of the greatest Batman stories ever told. It was a perfect ending for Bruce Wayne and Batman. Then they had to F it up with The Dark Knight Strikes Again. It was perfectly told for it's era (much of what was being said would fly right past today's generation raised in the "Everyone gets a trophy, you deserve whatever you want no matter if you work for it or not" type society we have now. Not to mention the fact that so much of what we see in comics now (people not truly trusting Superman because he is so different, the government controlling heroes, etc...) was first posited in Dark Knight Returns, which takes away the shock value and the "I never thought of it that way" type reaction we had when we first read it in the 80's. I was at a convention when I was about 19-20, and late that night I went to the hotel bar to get a beer. Sitting there was Frank Miller. I didn't want to be THAT GUY, so I just went up, introduced myself, shook his hand and told him how big of a fan I was, then was fixing to leave when he said "Sit down, you have somewhere else to be?" (I was wanting to jump up and down and squeeeeeeee as my friend Cally would say lol) So I sat down and had a few beers with him and talked about pretty much everything. When DKR came up I asked him if He and Alan Moore were comparing notes based on what V, DKR and Watchmen did for the medium and he said (paraphrasing here) "There must have just been something in the water or air, maybe something us old hippies thought needed to be said and the best way to say it would be through these characters." He then told me about the original pitch Moore had made to DC about what would eventually become Watchmen and how Watchmen, as good as it was, was so watered down from the original pitch with the Charleston characters it was hard to read, that was the first time I had ever heard about the original pitch so that was awesome, it felt like the first time a wrestler breaks kayfabe and takes you behind the curtain. You asked what we thought of DKR and thought you might like hearing about my 45 minutes with Frank.

Thanks, Mike. This Batmobile series is great. Eaglemoss is doing an excellent job with recreating this rich history of vehicles from the Batman universe. Thanks for watching, buddy. Take care.

Hey Tim. Thanks for subscribing. "Holy Crap!!" is right! Too funny. Actually, compared with some of the other items, this magazine was in pretty good shape. There were several other Eaglemoss magazines that were completely soaked and damaged (they looked like oatmeal) that I probably should have just thrown them out.

Where are you based? I live in Canada and it was an exclusive at my comic book store.

Hey Matt. I live in the U.S. I know the Bat-Tank was intially an Eaglemoss subscribers special but it has popped up in a number of comic book stores and secondary markets. It's a really cool model. Were you able to get one? Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel. I appreciate the support. Thanks for watching. Take care.

The Batmobile yes I was able too get one. it was not easy though and its already discontinued from my comic book store but I did not have to order one. Here is the review I made on it. Check out my channel for the review.

Hey Rich! It took me a long time to warm up to DKR. I'm a recent fan. Have you seen the animated version? It's pretty faithful to the book and it was really cool seeing the Bat-Tank in animated form. Thanks!
@Hooperick3610 жыл бұрын
Arkham89 - The Batmobile I agree. I cannot get enough of the animated movie. I treat it as valuable or even better than some of the real motion picture films in theaters. I sometimes imagine watching it as a movie with real people just for fun.

Ricardo Frias It is definitely worth a read. I love the animated movie too. They did an excellent job with bringing the story to life. It was great seeing the Bat-Tank in animated form. Thanks for watching!

Thanks again, Mike. I was so shocked when Stewart told me that he was able to get a hold of this Batmobile for me. This was one of three (along with the Arkham and Beyond Batmobiles) that I was hoping they would make. It really is a great collection piece.
@impossiblepie11 жыл бұрын
to bad the top isn't removeable to to show some of the interior, that would've been cool. I am hoping they do a Batman Beyond version!!! I do like the tank I picked it up
@LuciusFoxCar11 жыл бұрын
It is a shame that you can't see inside the Tank. The model that they used for the cross-section images would be awesome to have. Love the Batman Beyond design!! The Arkham Batmobile and the Beyond Batmobile are at the very top of my list. Can't wait for those issues. Thanks again.

Another great review that is a badass piece to have I really like how the painted this Tank very gritty and dull looking. I think TDKR is a great Batman story it is what it is a great Batman story I have my reservations as to how Superman was portrayed in the Graphic Novel So you know me been a huge Superman fan probably know how I feel about Frank Miller lol. But a great take on these characters in a elseworld's story. Really enjoyed the video great job as always
@LuciusFoxCar10 жыл бұрын
Hey Jamie! This was another model that I was really hoping Eaglemoss would produce. It's such a cool design from a classic Batman story. I'm really happy to have it in my collection. I totally understand your reservations about TDKR. I mentioned the exact same thing in the "director's cut" version of this video that I recently uploaded. The story kinda works out in the end but I just don't like the idea of seeing Superman compromise his principles. That's not exaclty how I imagine his character evolving. Thanks again for watching. Take care.

Hi, asked you, if you could make a video, detective comics #434 you said you will make, video, on this one. Respectfully, I hope you, do. Nevertheless I appreciate, your time. Take care. Michael.
@LuciusFoxCar7 ай бұрын
Hello, Thank you for your interest. I still plan to make a video for that one. I actually pulled it down from my shelf and started doing a little research on the comic last week. Unfortunately, with it being the end of the school year, I have not had time to make the video. Family and work obviously come first. I always wish I could make these videos more often. Graduation celebrations are over so I’ll hopefully review No. 434 soon!

amazing series! where can you find these?
@LuciusFoxCar11 жыл бұрын
The primary way to get a hold of these is through the Eaglemoss website: www.batman-cars.com/ Some models, like this one, are typically only sold through their site. Unfortunately, the website is not always updated in a timely manner. You can also find them on secondary markets (eBay) or your local comic shop might carry them. Thank you so much for watching! Take Care.
