Well Sammy, let me tell you a story. I'm 57,, 58 in March, but you are my go to on a daily. I was 13 when I heard Montrose for the 1st time and was like something took over me at that moment. I've played drums since I was 12; love to jam w you , but I doubt we'll ever meet.😔I was fortunate enough to meet Edward at the Sheraton hotel New Carrollton, Md. They played the Capital Centre in 82. Met him n Dave at the lobby bar for like 20 mins. Like that was the Best. When you came in 85, I just fuckin went crazy. I loved it. David Lee can't do what you do, he's a joke... but 1st time I heard Eagles fly off the record; it fuckin broke me down n cried like a baby and I think I was just reflecting on your lyrics and how special they are to me an the memories it brought back at that moment was like de je vu...I have much Respect for you as 1st, a great person w a heart of gold. N loved how you always took up for our boy Mikey! Great bassist he is! Love you guys more then you'll ever know. My wife is so sick w Lymes Disease,, 11yrs now. It's affected every joint in her body and now mite be entering her brain we think. Still have to see her Doctor ,,,1 of the best in the country from John's Hopkins in Baltimore, Md. She'd love a 5 min call from you, if that's even possible, but I truly understand how so many fans want something from you, but I'm not just a fan but a musician that toured North America/ Canada from 2008-2019 w mostly Dying Fetus ,,,, yea I kno... them 3 blow the fuckin roof off every nite... but also Hatebreed, Origin. Winds Of Plague, etc...love to work a tour w ya. That be sick, but I'm totally responsible n don't even drink alcohol unless it's Cabo Wabo classic margaritas! 1 other thing bout eagles fly was Ed's solo was spiritual; brought tears to my eyes 😂. This song means so much to me you'll never know. The album came out the year my father passed away. I played the crap out of that in the car. Till this day it comes on in the house or in the car it gets cranked up! Help. Even my 12-year-old grandson knows this song. Hell, I have written down that this song must be played at my funeral. Sammy is a guy who can go seamlessly from writing about fast cars and loose women to deeply spiritual, swelling music, soul-stirring anthems. My favorites in that category are Eagles Fly, Give to Live, Different Devil, The Message, Future is the Past, and the song that got me through a rough teenage patch, Can't Get Loose. Steven Tyler is probably the closest comparison, but I'd consider Tom Petty, Prince and Toby Keith in that company as well. Some fine company it is, and RIP those members we've lost!

@sammyhagar This is my favorite song! I've seen you play it acoustic and this year electric on the BofBW tour. Honest to God, I cried this time. The build up always gets to me, but the electric guitar takes it to another level. Fun story, my family drives south to Florida through the Lookout Mtn area yearly, but this time my 18yr had his 2 buddies with. I made them pause the PS5 and look out the windows as we drove through and then played this song. It was Sunday morning 9am.....
