Having a mid range lock down has been key this yr. We've almost always had a solid d-line and secondary, but this is different w a stud in mid level.

Good content. But defensive coordinators nowadays will have a defender follow the man in motion, but still remain in zone. Spags is the master of this

Or even be in man, and not follow the motion player. The defender in charge of that player will just pass the assignment to next closest defender. Basically, at this level..it’s not just black and white w/ reading how the defender reacts to the motion player pre-snap
