Jalen Hurts went 11-6 and missed winning the division by a game. He won games in the middle of the season despite some of the worst offensive schemes in the league. He never made excuses and puts more pressure on himself to win than these guys on TV do. They're just rooting for him to fail. Acho once said he'd been "Exposed" but to claim that would mean HE was telling the lie. You All, the media, make evaluations and when it doesn't turn out as YOU thought it would, they've been "exposed." Jalen's never told any stories or claimed anything. All the expectations they had were based on his performance and not some subterfuge to be uncovered and "exposed."

How is this dumb conversation? hurts nearly has a roster as good as the 49ers on offense. @dariusjohnson6013 Nearly??? We need to stop with this. That Eagles o line was and still is at this moment better. They have comparable players at every other skill position. Only clear advantage is the niners have a full back.

These clowns have no idea what really happened with the downfall of the eagles. The defense was riddled with injuries when they got to 10-1. There was no Dallas Goedert for 4-5 weeks of football which ruined that offensive gameplan since Goedert is crucial. FINALLY the real reason they fell apart was their OC Brian Johnson was beyond idiotic with their play calling ever since week 1. Pure talent got them to 10 wins. That DC Sean Desai failed that team & even Matt Patricia couldn’t save them with those secondary & Linebacker injuries. Maybe real analysts would figure this out.

The loss of the coordinator can't be ignored, but Jalen's production in 2022 was eye opening. And so in 2023 you expect him to exceed that, even with the loss of a coordinator, especially because the former QB coach was still there and the head coach who is offensive minded is still there. Jalen was paid to be more productive than #6, particularly with the skill guys he has. Also when looking at the games, the production doesn't tell the whole story. His mechanics and reading of defenses was lacking.

In Jalen hurts career he only had the same coordinator once for back to back years and the second year he went to the superbowl let’s not forget this man been learning new offenses like every year.

Dave and Joy arguing but they’re both right DEPENDING ON what angle you’re looking at as far as pressure but let’s be real, with Saquan there now, the pressure just went sky high.

Pressure = expectations x 10 or so ??? But Pressure, is also subjective.. which causes the differences. Pressure on Hurts: the better help he gets! The more pressure is on him to perform! To not let the rest of them down!

So we’re ignoring wtf happened this season? All we needed was to lose 2 hall of fame veterans, make a lateral move at RB, hire an offensive coordinator and everything is fixed? Okay.

Why is saying purdy was more consistent than hurts crazy? Purdy is a much better QB than most people wanna admit and Hurts is a much worse QB than people wanna admit. I think there is a steong argument that hurts isnt even a top 10 QB in this league. At least i have 8 or 9 QB higher on my list and he can rock paper scissor with cousins and love for 10th

You can’t fairly compare Purdy’s situation last year to Hurts’. The coaching situation of the 49ers was miles better than the Eagles and it showed. A much better comparison is Josh Allen and the Bills. He arguably had as many weapons as Hurts did, but struggled in the beginning of the year due to bad offensive coaching. Then the Bills switched coordinators mid season, and what do you know? They improved. Bottom line, when a team struggles, you can’t pin it squarely on the QB for not being able to overcome bad play calling. In those situations there’s only so much you can do, unless you’re Mahomes.

As somebody that lives right next to Philly so I’ve seen him play multiple times in person had to watch him play in the Super Bowl against my Chiefs. Jalen hurts is overrated. He’s had one abnormal year and everything else has been average.

The longer I listened to this, the more frustrated I became. Hurts is still good. The play callers/schemers had him waiting for 7 seconds in the pocket before a play developed.

People are acting like Philly had some scrub at RB last season. D'Andre Swift is a very good player. Had 1,000 yards and averaged 4.6 ypc. The only reason he had only 5 TDs instead of 10+ is because of the brotherly shove. Hurts HAS to play better next season. If not, it will be one and done again.

It seems like Philly signs a new RB every year. As a cowboys fan I’m jealous of their front office. Lose a player and replace him in free agency or with draft picks acquired through trades. Congrats Philly I know y’all still have some holes to fill, but you’ve got the best front office in the league.

Every starting QB in the league has pressure & every team has weapons & some teams weapons are better than others. It’s comes down to how you setup & use those weapons, the Ravens have weapons but didn’t use them right against the Chiefs. The Eagles had weapons & didn’t use the right the 2nd half of the season, Dallas has weapons & didn’t use the right in the playoffs.

I think it does and I think if he struggles again this year, let's have an honest conversation. Is he really better than Dak or did he just have 1 fluke year better than Dak's best year with a historically stacked Eagles roster ?

James is right. The pressure is on Hurts and to a lesser extent the offense because they haven't really improved their shoddy defense. They're loaded on offense and gonna have to outgun teams, have a lot of 41-37, 38-35, 44-42 games.

The pressure is 100% on Sirianni, and a little on Kellen Moore. Hurts is safe because of his contract. Besides, Hurts is a top QB, NFC title, huge support from dawgs team mates, self confidence is intact (he's not Mac Jones, Tua or Kenny Pickett).
