Jalen Carter is the heart of that defense. Everything he does creates for the guys around. Pressures leading to int, double teams keeping the LBs unblocked able to hit the gaps, double teams allowing your other guys to win their 1 on 1s leading to pressures and sacks.

He ran 44 yards for the first TD. He had a long pass to the one yard line dropped. He had a terrific completion to Goedert called back on a silly penalty. He had a rush push TD called back on a silly penalty. He had a long completion to Devonte Smith disrupted by a helmet to helmet spear. He is still not getting rid of the ball quickly. That has to improve. But Jalen Hurts is a terrific QB who will get better. Planting his right foot and quickly delivering the ball is a key to next week.

There is something noteworthy that happened at the end of the game. In week 2, we watched the Falcons get the ball back with a chance to steal the game from us, and the defense gave up the game winning TD. In week 11, we watched the Commanders do the very same thing. So naturally, we are watching Rams get the ball back late the 4th with a chance to drive down the field with a chance to steal the game and send us home…and the defense finally stepped up and made that crucial stop to preserve the win. Now bring on the Commanders, would be nice to get a little vengeance and see Cooper DeJean have the game of his young season. Beat them the player they traded to us in the draft. Same for Dotson.

Im a diehard EAGLES fan , Every single play run or pass every touchdown every win 14 and loss 3 this season began and begins in Jalens hands . I can't stand the constant consternation of Jalens play . He is NOT a robot programmed to be the perfect QB , he is a Young Man first and foremost, he is the first person to touch the football and the main person that is responsible for a Play to begin correctly and end with 6 pts. Josh Allen had 147 yds passing in the Baltimore game . He gets praised for his 147 passing yds in that game. Jalens play in the eagles -rams game His passing yds not great so what does Jalen get criticism , Barkley tds are all started behind the line by Jalen getting him the Ball at the perfect time. Jalens play got 14 wins Can any of us Do better ? Hell NO then don't be a critic We are lucky to have Jalen , a great QB a team leader who WINS more GAMES than any of us could.
