She is great but under the confinement of this video, she can't perform well on her own without a supporting character on the team. If you're a new player, i would not recommend pulling furina, But you should pull for neuvillete, he doesn't need a team and can solo abyss, easy to build and so on.. Should've been on the list, but well its his choice i gueess

Furina as a beginner is great and as not a beginner too. You get a free Barbara which she heals a lot with her burst and skill, to maximize the Fanfare if you didn’t already have your party members HP drained to 50% in her Ousia form with her skill activated, which you switch to Pneuma and she heals the on-field character to get her fanfare up. The only thing you’re missing out on if you don’t use a healer with Furina is her skill not dealing damage while she is healing. Additionally her skill does a lot of damage in Ousia by draining party members HP to deal 110%-140% increased damage for the Salon Members. Overall she does great damage, has versatility, and provides a great damage buff, and even if considering exploration too, she can walk on water unlimitedly, pulling Neuvillette over Furina is fine, but Furina is another game changer that you should have on your account and it’s great to have her early in the game to get as much out of her for a journey up Adventure Ranks.

@@BellPepper-fh4to furina is one of the best, yes. But, as a beginner who doesn't even have that good of a team, gets wrecked by ruin guards, always in trouble, you want someone that drains hp? There are other better pulls as a beginner like nahida, kazuha, yelan, neuvillete. But, as an end game player, having a furina is kind of like a must. And as a beginner you want someone that does dmg, not heal using other skills. So, i think getting her after reaching ar 45 will be better. Heck the best character for early players is venti, but i will not recommend him as he becomes kind of useless later on, so just go for kazuha instead.

For Neuvillette he would need a proper shield too unless he goes for C1, this dude in the video is talking about a character on its on C0 that he would create a team with and none of them were shield meaning neuvillette can't be in it in the first place he event put hutao in honorary mentions Cuz her c0 uses stamina, neuvillette keeps getting spanked all over the places so u need a proper shield if u don't have cons and then let's say u went for zhongli and neuvillette then what about fighting hydro enemies and bosses within abyss

started playing about 6 months ago for the hu tao banner, cant wait for the kazuha rerun next patch and hoping for a yelan or kokomi rerun to have more versatile hydro applicator options gotta say though if i had to pick someone im not sure if i can play the game without furina anymore shes too useful for exploration alone with the walking on water ability and clears overworld like it's nothing. she hasnt left my teams since ive built her

I don’t think you should pull kokomi imo kokomi is a garbage pull as a support unless you play ayaka or nilou. You can play her as a dps with furina, so if you have furina and want a dps, kokomi is fine. Kokomi was my first limited 5 star back in 3.8 and I deeply regret her

@@polychromaa It is funny how we are very similar yet very different. Kokomi is also my first limited five star and I pulled her on 3.8 banner too, but I don’t regret pulling for her and would probably never regret. She carries me from signora’s fight until now, never leave my team in both exploration and spiral abyss. The only bad thing that I could find about her, is that you are unable to see huge damage with her unless you put high investment into critkomi, but apart of that, literally nothing bad about her in my account. She works well on field or off field, and I always enjoy playing her in every teams I use (taser, hyperbloom, or even the oonga boonga ones). But yeah of course people have different preference and experience, so I will not try to change your opinion.

My top five for a new account would be: Kazuha, Nahida, Neuvillette, Yelan, Raiden Reasoning: - Kazuha - most universal buffs, best CC, anemo - Nahida - best dendro applicator, requires almost no investment to function and makes low-investment teams like hyperbloom easier to play, best unit to have if you’re planning to invest your primogems in dendro meta later - Neuvillette - most self-sufficient on-field carry, good in both AoE and ST, easy to play - Yelan - hydro applicator, decent damage from off-field, your second Xingqiu - Raiden - hyperbloom trigger that you can guarantee, allowing you to play the cheapest to build single-target team; and Raiden National is still a strong braindead to play option

Im loving this list haha. Especially because Alhaitham got a well deserved spot. I feel similar about him and sometimes he’s often overlooked. Especially the fact that he’s super fun and versatile to play/build. Even if you do make some mistakes, he’s still strong and eventually you learn how to optimize his mirrors ect. I think my 5 must pulls would be…Alhaitham, Nahida, Yelan, Raiden, and Kazuha. Bonus favorites are Zhongli and Kokomi haha. I think these are my favs with honorable mentions of Neuvillete and Furina.

The feeling that it's my account description before Xianyun comes out made me laugh, like... sure I was new to the game (in may 2023) but got the best units I could at the time for abyss clear. :D Kazuha was very helpful with that (barely use him now, too strong) , Alhaitham and Yelan are still in use for today's abyss since bow is great there and dendro is powerful element even without Nahida (with her it's too much too, lol). It is great to have these options on "easy game" switch, but it's not the only way to play the game as I wanted to play so options are always needed.

I would say my top 5 would be the top 4 characters that culled a fuck ton of artifact farming and primogem investment to allow me to 36* the abyss the first time plus one that allowed overall versatility in team making for the newer abysses: Childe, Alhaitham, Nahida, and Kazuha from least to most important and splash Zhongli somewhere. Basically the team combinations to can make with those 4 are insane and lead to easy to play, high damaging teams that function from only 2 5*s. You can mix and match them depending on your 4*s, and if you need a shield breaker or otherwise need to resistance shred unconditionally then Zhongli can fill in that roll for little cost.

Imho ,for new players the best characters (just because they offer everything with minimal effort) are: 1) Yelan 2) Kazuha 3) Neuvillette (just because it takes a while to get to Fontaine for his materials, otherwise tied with Yelan as the undisputed #1s. Not even that, I'd say he's #1, but Yelan is simply better for exploration, so it's a tie) 4) Xianyun (team wide healer and makes everyone a DPS + Anemo + top tier exploration) 5) Alhaitham Furina at C0 would mean a bloodbath everytime you face an enemy (I mean, she's tricky even for AR55+ players, let alone the guy/girl that just reached Mondstadt lmao. On the other side she is excellent for traversing water surfaces which is great for some very annoying Inazuma puzzles). Nahida without Kuki or Raiden (or Yae or Fischl or literally anyone that can make use of her off-field Dendro application) is very much a "good luck doing anything" character. So while both are strong, they are not even close to some other characters for early game.

@@asummusa2023 there are other healers like bennett, sayu, charlotte, Mika, kuki, yaoyao, etc. Barbara can get her burst back without 300 ER as well because she is with a second hydro(furina), so it's not that bad to build her. Nuivilette > any dps in this game, the rule is supports > dps, but Nuivilette is the exception.

@Darkness-zd7xe First, all the healers you mentioned either need field time or are single target healer which aren't good with furina except mika. Second, Barbra needs 300 er with another hydro unit because she generates 0 particles and has an 80 cost burst, without a second hydro unit she needs 400+ or you use her as they intended which bursting once every few rotations which you can't do with furina since healing is necessary every rotation. As for neuvillette, he is the best onfielder but you don't even need an onfielder and any of them that you like works just fine asuming they are the right element

Barbara with furina(double hydro) will require 200-250 ER depending on ur other units. You can just use an ER sands/weapon/prototype amber? I don't get whats hard to build here. Yeah nuivilette is best on fielder dps, to the point where is he is significantly more cracked than any other on fielder hence why he should be above anyone else on this list like hutao, ayaka, alhatheim. Also ur statement on not needing an on fielder for dps units contradicts your point of furina using healers who need to be on field like yaoyao

in 3 years you get 6 50% attempts to get a 5 star character if you do all the exploring and events and spiral abyss. How on earth are you going to get all these characters in 1 year :D? also i recommend Kazuha, Raiden and Kokomi (Kokomi can solo abyss 1,2,3 alone) to get where i am in 3 years because as you guessed, its realistic to lose ALL 50/50s all the time :D don't expect better.

What you are saying about optimal team in the end is part true, though it's undeniable that some teams with some strongest characters are way better. Childe International IS way better than Sucrose National and than Rational. Nilou Bloom with Kokomi, Nahida, Collei, IS way better than most of her options (competitors being Nahida, Yaoyao, Candace, and some weird variations). Though, it's true for average gameplay experience (just clearing 36* of the Abyss), it doesn't matter at all

Childe international has lost to Sucrose international repeatedly in CN speendruns at anything but higher total con cost, check jamie kb's channel where he covers NGA tourneys where people actually play for rewards and its not just theoretical. Not saying Childe is bad but people cling to old ideas too long if the answer was always in front of them but they didn't make it work themselves. Childe might still win for single chambers but these tourneys are all chamber-continuous runs.

Hi I started playing this game on late February like 2 weeks ago more a less and I am relatively new (ar 31) and would like to have some insights: I have 65 pity right now and trying to get xiao but I also like miko and don’t know who would be better on my team, assuming that I would get one of these on the 90th wish, also want to know if my team is any decent: I’m running Lynette, Xiangling,Yaoyao and Lisa, not sure if this is the best specially considering that dendro and anemo don’t synergise that well I would like to keep yaoyao and Xiangling but Lisa and Lynette can be removed Btw: if y think that these are not the banners to go for y can also say that (I believe I keep my pity?)

I think that although Xiao is amazing (and I main him), he's not going to benefit too much from the characters you have on your team at the moment. Yae Miko also won't benefit too much, other than from Yaoyao, so I would recommend you save your primogems for 4.5's second half, where Neuvillette and Kazuha are both rerunning. Both of these characters are amazing, versatile, and can really improve your account no matter what characters you have or use. Neuvillette can work very well with Xiangling and Yaoyao (though that is a burgeon team), and Kazuha is just extremely versatile in many ways (as said in the video). Given your case and your current team, I would pick to go for Neuvillette as he is a DPS character and you seem to not have a specific one for this team yet, but ultimately, go for whoever you like because this is a gacha game and you should always have fun :) (Also yes, your pity will carry over so you don't need to worry about that)

Why do people like Yelan so much? I have her but she's completely replaceable by XQ. XQ has interruption resistance and damage reduction. Yelan has... 5% more team damage than XQ, or 8% with Furina. That's it. The best part of Yelan is just overworld travel. Otherwise just play XQ. It's fine if people like yelan but I really don't get why she's so beloved.

Feels like Yelan is only for Alhaitham, Hutao, or Raiden, and you can still use XQ on those plenty fine. Hutao is the only one that needs double hydro and you could just get Furina instead.

For example, you can make two differrent teams with Keqing and Sucrose which can use Yelan and Xingqiu respectively. Keqing aggravate and Sucrose taser for example. Also every team that has a NA onfielder can benefit from double hydro core with Xingqiu and Yelan.

@@purp1e200 Keqing is exclusively an aggravate driver, Sucrose wants double electro and xq since no defensive option. About half the NA dps don't want Yelan. Keqing, Cyno, Nilou bloom teams, Yae, Wriothsly melt, & Childe, and ofc any non-hydro reaction versions of characters that may or may not run hydro teams but weren't mentioned like Alhaitham. That only really leaves Alhaitham quick, Hu Tao, Nahida quick, Raiden, Navia, Wriothsly freeze, Yoimiya, & Wanderer.

No. Furina is great, op even, but she's also useless on a beginner account. If you don't have the characters capable of healing your whole team and some well built DPS, Furina won't be playable. As a beginner, you want a character that can carry you, then the support, and in Furina's case, Furina's support healer.

Neuvillette is versatile too, he easily covers ur Hydro applicator and he works well with other comps, hyperbloom, taser, vape, hypercarry, freeze. Also furina gives buff and her summon can dmg and heal too. Plus she will enable almost any dps use the hunter set which is very easy to use and very good to farm.

In my own opinion this list is wrong in every way,I only agree with a few of the characters if you’re starting a new account but not putting nahida(but nilou is in it),Furina(but xianyun),and neuvi(but hutao) just feels wrong,these characters I mentioned(nilou,xianyun and hutao) won’t work well without the counterparts except hutao,the reason I think neuvi is better is because he can reach a similar dmg ceiling with less effort which is important for new accounts no new player is gonna be jump canceling and all that to max efficiency,neuvi provides comfort and insane dmg at the same time.after this I don’t think is be following any of your recommended picks again,clearly you’re playing a different game

2:42 energy recharge. You also really want energy recharge. Unless you have 170ish ( atleast 160). Put him on fav sword and give him some crit rate If you can't build enough crit rate to proc fav consistently or enough er, then I guess just use the sting and wait for better artifacts

Neuvi is also really prone to powercreep. He has the best aoe and survivability and doesnt need any buffers. Hydro is the best element by far and there is no way they release a hydro dps better than him. Even if characters with higher damage drop Neuvillette will still have extremely high value since his play style is literally braindead easy.

Nilou is also difficult to play, I got her in her first banner, thought she'd be great after getting Nahida, I got Nahida and tried different teams but only Xingqiu was good as the third team member, then I kept dying from the blooms, realised now I needed Baizhu or Kokomi because Barbara isn't enough.. Now that's another 5 star I need.. Ayaka on the other hand, I have made use for with Bennett Xiangling Xingqiu.. Even the Jean sunfire team exists.. Neuvillette is so broken, you can go solo.. Furina is so amazing.. Nilou is nowhere near these units..

Furina is the one character EVERYONE should aim for. You get so much damage bonus buffing! She is not difficult to play, she just requires a healer and the profits are insane. DPS will come and go but supports always are more important!

Neuvillette. I started the game when his banner dropped and I used to play with my friends. The progressiom difference was insane. He can carry you in every situation and will never die. Kazuha wouldnt help much if you dont have characters dealing elemental damage at all times. Neuvi can solo carry the team

I just got her, I would say that you need to build your dendro character, hydro character or chevreuse if you need the best results. Also she is pretty good as on field hyperbloom driver in single target and 2-3 enemies.

If I could only have 5... I'd say (1) Kazuha, (2) Nahida, (3) Furina, (4) Raiden Shogun, and (5) I'd have a hard time between Kokomi and Yelan. My honorable mention would be Alhaitham and Zhongli. (I don't have Neuvillette, so I cannot comment on him). I'd say Xianyun is a wee bit of "recency bias". I'm not saying she isn't good - she's solid and makes others like Diluc great again. She can even make Candace and Barbara good. But Xianyun in my top 5? No way. Nilou is just too niche for me. No one is saying she isn't great, just that she's basically only good on bloom teams.

10:41 Why even mention that Xianyun is great with Hu Tao, to then just undermine it like this? Hu Tao’s best team doesn’t care about her C1, yet she is only an honorable mention because her C1 is good on other teams, that makes no sense. Also, just jump cancel at C0, it’s not that hard.
