I LOVED 'The Beat' (as they were known back-in-t'-day) & I would've been a Mod at the time if it weren't for the fact that where I lived as a kid - solidly ROCKERS area, you understand - I'd've most likely got mi' 'ead kicked-in on a daily & repeated basis (I weren't no hero then - or even now). He’s actually the second lead vocalist, they took turns singing lead for their songs. His name was Ranking Roger, sadly he passed away recently. RIP he was a good dancer too!
