I'm parked in the Rose parking lot in Venice Beach. I have a unicorn in the passenger seat draped in lights, changing to the pace of Earls voice. My speakers on my glitter covered van are crystal clear OUTSIDE the van.. I'm parked looking directly at the Venice Beach bar. From the beach side of the lot. The holidays are really kicking my ass. It's 6:10 pm dec 22. I have over 9 years. But so much has happened recently. So much loss. I'm powerless. I should go to another meeting. The first one I went to today gained me a new friend and sponsor. And has me more focused on steps 6 and 7. Earl is my favorite. And in sobriety I discovered I waited till 13 to get drunk. But blacked out. And forgot it. .. The chances earl sea this? I have no idea It's not in my hands. And I need to be made useful. Even with almost 10 years. I surrender. But not how they wanted me to. I surrender my life and my will to God as I understand God. I am willing.

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you're doing better. I've just moved into my own place after being homeless for three years and then a woman's recovery house. Going to that house was the first good choice I made in about 20 years. I had no more to lose

Random thoughts ..... Stress weakens the body mind and soul. Parents have issues. Children inherit issues. No mother wants to outlive any of her children. Even doctors admit that most diseases are stress related. Deep in my heart I'm asking why did my mother-in-law outlive 3 of her children age 32, 48 and 67 ? And her 3 remaining youngest children are angry alcoholics ? Just thinkin' ...
