Just noticed something-and this is my 4th viewing, and I still notice new things. Earlier, Can had begged Sanem never to let go of his hand. You could tell how important that was to him as it represented her love and commitment to him regardless of what they were battling. But at the hospital, while arguing outside Yighit’s room, Can tried to take her hand, and she pulled away. She wouldn’t let him hold her hand. A small thing, done in anger on Sanem’s part, but to Can it was, perhaps, the ultimate rejection, the proof that she was no longet committed to their love. So sad and so crushing to him. It’s amazing how there are so many little actions that hold so much emotional weight in this series.

Yes, and for Can to realize the rejection of the hand was bigger than the moment, because Sanem believed that Can was a liar and wanted to harm Yighit physically. This was yet another form of letting go from Sanem when she was no longer willing to see him for him. So he let go too and left town.

That wasn't bad for Sanem to do. She shouldn't have to hold the hand of a man who just paralyzed someone else. Also, any normal person would comfort and prioritize their recently paralyzed friend over their partner who did the paralyzing. Can's attitude at the hospital is mostly anger at the situation, not guilt that he could have killed someone.

The mere fact that she did that pisses me the heck off. Is she so aloof? She brought Polen and now she's bringing Yighit? I feel for her but if she trusted Can half as much as she claims, she would not ignore or downplay his concerns about Yighit. And the mere fact Yighit is in league with Mrs. Huma tells me that his intentions are not pure. Is achieving your dream so important that you're willing to lose your love along the way? My gosh Sanem, it's time to open your eyes.

Ann fields4296 .We never are given any hint as to why she did it. The situation with Yighit and Can's mother is the most frustrating part in the whole story. The two worst characters, bar none. Also, you are so right that if Sanem had trusted Can's instinct about Yighit she wouldn't be in this state at all. She is so at fault in this that she deserves what she went through.

In my opinion, the best scene in the entire drama "Early Bird" is this episode until the last one. since their meeting after parting has really touched the audience emotionally. I repeated episodes 126-161 dozens of times, and am still watching it to this day.

Sanem is so stubborn just like Mevkibe. She should have not brought Yighit in Jan's hut. I hate this episode!! I feel so bad for Can as well 😢 Everyone turned against him, even Sanem. I understand that she realized she was wrong 10 mins later and he had his phone off but she should have gone to him. I would have loved for the show to have exposed the whole truth of Huma and Yighit, they totally missed that part. They got away with too much too easily. It would have totally redeemed Can. I am Happy about the separation though, it made both of them mature about their love.

This isn’t about blaming one person or another-it’s about recognizing that Sanem was struggling deeply with depression. Her time in the institution should be viewed with empathy, not judgment. Depression isn’t something that just ‘goes away,’ and it certainly isn’t anyone’s fault. I wish the show had spent more time exploring what Sanem experienced during that period because it would help viewers understand why her family, especially her father, was so protective of her afterward. Instead, we see people here making fun of her or saying it was her own doing, which is such a harmful way to look at mental health issues. While Can was sailing around the world, Sanem was facing a dark period in her life, and it’s not fair to give him a free pass while downplaying the severity of what she went through. This is a rom-com, yes, but it doesn’t mean we should ignore the serious impact of depression on a character who deserved more compassion.

Watching this for the third time I understand so many more things. Its not about how much Sanem loves him to believe him, its about Sanem understanding Can's love for her. The main thing is that Can never knew how much Sanem loved him and Sanem never knew how much Can loved her. Like really! If Can knew how much Sanem loved him , he would have never had to worry about Yighit because he would know that Sanem would never ever go on Yighit's side and Yighit's plan to take her to America would never have worked cause Sanem will never leave him and go anywhere. And most importantly Can would have never left her if he knew how much Sanem loved him cause he would have known she cant live without him. And if Sanem knew how much Can loved her , she would have immediately known there is no way Can burnt the notebook cause Can is the one who first understood and supported her writing since the beginning. He gave her that feather pen and told her to never stop writing . Can and Sanem honestly hurt each other as much as they loved each other. Thats the truth. But i love this distance between them , Can has evolved into this calm and composed person whereas Sanem is still heartbroken , but we all know Can is her only cure. I am literally tearing as im typing this, this is sucha beautiful love story showcasing real life relationship problems that we all learn from , but if two people are meant to be, the Universe will always bring them together 🤍✨ilove the whole EK family and I love reading all comments 🙏🏼🕊️

I agree to a point, how could Can's character know how much Sanem loved him, he was so hurt by Sanem in the past that he had doubts about her, the writers kept Sanem in ridiculous situations, lies, to many games, etc. add to that her response to his first proposal, and for her to choose Yighit over him was the final blow. Sanem's character had no worldly experience, so immature, naive and living in her neighborhoods bubble with so many family pressures. Sanem's character also took a negative turn when Yighit started his campaign of publishing her book.

In this episode, particularly, I don't think either Can or Sanem understood what they needed from each other. Sanem could never fully believe that a man of the world, like Can, could really love her as fully as he did. Sanem was the "black duckling" as her mother called her in an earlier episode. She was the troublemaker. But throughout the whole series, Can had the two moonstones with the theme of accepting the light and the dark, accepting another person wholly. I don't think Can and Sanem knew how to do this for each other due to their ego and pride. For Sanem, it was her first love and of course getting caught in Business espionage and making tons of mistakes only triggered Can, because his mother was unpredictable, evil, broke trust, and left, with him having deep feelings of rejection and abandonment. He was trying to work through them, but his anger and controlling nature took over most of the time. Sanem, on her part, never should have believed that Can would do a single thing to hurt her, let alone burn her book, when he was the first one to encourage her to write. Sanem needed to believe more in herself to know she was worthy of Can's intense love and that out of that love, there is no way he would ever be malicious to her. The fact that she truly believed that Can would burn her book and hurt her in that way, even it was for a short 10 minutes (later revealed), fully broke Can, as an ultimate rejection of his love. And he too then felt unworthy of love, mirroring Sanem. This is metaphor of the chaos of two rivers coming together fighting, bubbling over, until they flow calmly as one.

He pushed back when he was pushed, anyone would have had that reaction. Sanem saw it and still took Yigit’s side as though he had no blame. For her to think Can would deliberately hurt another human being in that way shows how unbelievable out of touch and selfish she really is. Sanem continues to put all the blame on Can because frankly she can’t handled the truth that she was partly the caused of what happened. And when he came back, she was still buddies with Yigit, everyone is still blaming Can for everything and when he decides it’s best for him to leave, she chases after him with tears in her eyes watching him sail away. Do you want him to stay or go, stopped with the games, he’s hurting too and grow up.

I know everyone keeps blaming sanem but it’s not her fault, I have watched enough drama to understand not to blame anyone in particular. There relationship was going to crumble anyway with there lack of communication, forgiveness and trust. Can at the first obstacle runs, doesn’t want to listen to explanation and has a hard time managing his emotions. Sanem is fed up with that, besides she didn’t tell can she didn’t believe him, she just told him whatever it is support and trust me and that’s enough. This episode made me mad, sad and elated at the same time… mad because, after all Can has done to prove his love, Sanem still does not understand the depth of his love. Can has never lied to her about anything and if he was going to burn that book, he would have done it in her face, the same way he tore that letter in her face… mad because I’m unsure if Sanem truly loves Can… if she loves him as she said, she should know what he is capable of doing and since she doesn’t, tells me her love is flawed… if she truly loves him, why would she take Yigit to the cabin, she did it with Pollen and he told her he she shouldn’t have and she goes repeating the same mistake in a more hurtful way. The cabin is Can’s place of serenity, a place of peace and tranquility, a place he goes to clear his head and to center himself. Why would someone that claims to love him bring his enemy to his peaceful place; because once your enemy enters your peaceful zone, all the enemy will do is to destroy the essence of the environment. This is a repeat mistake, which I’ve seen to be common with Sanem in this series. But because they have such good chemistry on screen, and amazing acting skills, most people miss the fact that this love is one sided. Can loves Sanem but Sanem is unsure of her love. I’m sad because of the sadness and loneliness Can is going through; and for what the separation did to Sanem. You can only push people for so long, even people who love you. A true love can let you go if that person feels you will be happier without them. Can had to leave because no matter what he did to prove his love, it seemed to only make Sanem more sad and he doesn’t like her being sad… when someone loves you, your happiness is their priority even if it’s not with them. Sometime, it is necessary for a love to leave because if it comes back to you, then you know it was really meant for you. And in this situation, as long as Sanem continue to pretend she doesn’t see Yigit’s influence and motives, she will never appreciate or allow herself to fully commit to Can. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone… I’m happy because I believe that this is the time that we are going to see how much Sanem loves Can. She has been without him for a year and realized how miserable she has been, so she is now going to be receptive of everything he has done and will be willing to have an open mind. This time around, she won’t care so much about others opinion, just Can and hers. I’m praying for them… Translator, as always, THANK YOU!!!

I think it's totally reasonable for anyone to believe that Can could burn the book, especially in a moment of anger and considering the book has info that Can wants to ignore. Can has a temper, he punched Fabbri, and JUST hurt Yighit. He even ripped up Sanem's letter in the past and Can has repeatedly refused to talk about their issues. Also in the moment Sanem is scared of Can, she asks him if he would something like that to her, and worried about Yighit who she views as a friend. It's ok for her to not think clearly in the moment. Also she doesn't believe Yighit over Can, she just doesn't believe Can in the moment. Yighit never tells Sanem that he saw Can throw the book in the fire, only that Can must have burned it. It's a subtle difference, but a big one. If Yighit had said 'I saw you throw the book in the fire', I think Sanem would have believed Can. Spoiler What's not ok, is for Sanem to believe that Can was lying because he hates lies. But, she says in a later episode that she rain after him 10 minutes later. Can was unreachable by then. I put 80% of the blame on Can for this break up because he didn't speak to Sanem again, in fact he avoided her.

During their year apart, Can came to all the right realizations about himself and about how he needed to change, and he did change. But Sanem did not. In that year apart where Sanem lost everything, even her mind, she could have realized that he would never have burned her book, that he does not lie, and that she was the world to him - which he told her over and over again. Somehow, though, she villified Can both to herself and her family who also turned on Can (which breaks my heart). At the same time, she is obviously absolutely lost without him.

Sanam is wild like fire...in the pursuit of her book,she ignores can's concerns which were correct n then blames him for her broken heart.....Her insecurities bring lots of toxicity in the relationship.,no doubt she suffers herself,too. Acting of lead actors including others is superb. JJ at times over the top .

Much as I want to empathize with Sanem’s fate, sorry but I cannot. This was a lesson of her stubbornness and we can only learn from her mistake. One way or another she brought everything on herself, and she deserved what she got. She knew that Can was jealous of Yighit but she still brought him to Can’s private place. She was blinded by her ambition to prove herself that she can make it on her own, too bad, it was at the expense of her love life. She has a book on her hand but she let go of Can’s hand😢

Why wouldn't Can leave? The person he loves the most thinks Can is a liar, a violent man creating harm to other humans when it was an accident, and that he had no interest in Sanem's work, when that was nowhere close to the truth. From Can's perspective, if Sanem doesn't trust Can and thinks he is a liar, then there is no relationship if that kind of trust is breached. And remember Can was very aligned with not lying and telling the truth so if he was being perceived as a liar, he knew he wouldn't want to be with someone who saw him that way.

But Can is violent. Even though he didn't want Yigit to get paralyzed, he absolutely wanted to hurt him. If Yigit hadn't fallen, Can definitely would have punched him. Be realistic, if you saw a guy with Can's temper and history of violence, although small, you would not even go on 1 date with him. Sanem is the product of her upbringing. Her parents said she was always rebellious. She was trying to get attention. They held Leila up as the PERFECT CHILD. Sanem wants her parents to love her as much as they do Leila, and because of that, she tries to please them TOO MUCH. She should have gone with Can to the registry office and gotten married when he suggested it. Can is strong, determined, but tender and romantic. He loves Sanem just the way she is. He could fill her life with all the love one person needs. But she is still trying to please everyone, including Yight. Sad, but since she missed her chance at a great love, she needs time to mature.

Then she violated Can's privacy by bringing Polen, her sister and brother in law and Yighit to the mountain hut. And then she accused Can of lying for the notebook and Yighit. If you think that's just naivete, then you're being naive. No matter how young someone is, that is not a reason to be deceitful repeatedly and then blame your partner for lying when he hasn't. A naive person would believe her partner over someone else. A person in love would believe her partner over someone else. So the naivete argument fails miserably here especially when she saw what happened after Can learned of her first lie. Is she incapable of learning because she is naive or is it just in her nature to be cruel? And in the end Can had to jump into a burning building to get her scarf for her to believe that he didn't burn the notebook or hurt Yighit on purpose. He had to risk her life for her to believe him? That's a high price to pay for loving Sanem.

It wasn't untill I got to this part of the series that I realized that she was so toxic. Sanem was incredibly toxic in a really bad way. And it stemmed from her own deep insecurities which caused her to self sabotage. About the people saying that Jan should have forgiven her the first time she lied, let's put sentiments & fiction aside, it takes a man who really loves a woman deeply and desperately, to forgive such magnitude of lie and cruelty. It wasn't even just lie, it was cruelty. Yes, sanem does have really deep cruel streaks in her. Because, what innocent person, even misguided, would be providing confidential information to an enemy company, or worse, sabotage efforts and important documents. So it's not just about having lied, such behavior from a woman or even man is dangerous and toxic. But he forgave her. And for those analyzing Jan's inability to forgive lies as having to do with childhood trauma, that's not true. Healthy people find lies a red flag. Even as a woman, being with a man that lies is risky. How can you trust a man that lies? If you cannot trust a man that lies, how do you think that a man would trust a son that lies? Personally for me, I cannot have in my inner circle, people that make the habit of lying, not to talk of dating one. Let's put fiction aside, what sanem did was an indication that she was a red flag, but despite it all,🤑 Jan forgave her and she repeated it again. Her deep feelings of unworthiness, insecurities, caused her to be unknowingly cruel. She self-sabotaged too many times. Love can do so many strange things to a man, because by right, Jan should have run away from her. Because sanem's parents, especially her mother, monitored her every movement, they killed her confidence in herself. As a young Lady who grew up in an environment where every decision was made for me and my every movement monitored, for the longest time i can remember, i felt so unworthy and undeserving, especially of attentions of men of higher caliber. I didn't even believe in myself and my abilities, and I was striving to prove everybody wrong, that I was something. It took me three years of intense healing, to heal from all of my childhood trauma and it's been one of the best decisions I made. So watching sanem, reminds me of the girl I used to be. Healing your inner child is very important, so that you do not self-sabotage. Jan had his issues, but the were shallow compared to sanem's deep ones For sanem, Jan would have done just anything for her. I feel so sad 😢

I have gone through all episodes but I never stop watching again and again. I felt very bad that Sanem didn't believe Can for not burning the note book and what a love if not to trust your lover. Can loves her deeply and he leaves her cause he's heartbreaking ....what a lovely novel that I am obsessed. Love both Can n Sanem very much. I think it's completely believable that Can would throw the book in the fire in a moment of anger. The book has a lot of information Can repeatedly refuses to discuss. Also Sanem did not believe Yigit over Can. Yigit never said 'I saw Can throw the book in the fire' , he only accused Can of doing it. When Can says that if Sanem doesn't believe him, he should go, Sanem doesn't respond. She is frustrated with Can focusing on the wrong thing. Right now he should care more about how is temper hurt someone, not what Sanem thinks of him. Sanem is at fault for for not taking Can at his word because Can hates lies. But her mind clears up 10 minutes later.

As I continue to watch this outstanding series 100 x’s over the course of 9.5 months, I am forever grateful to the writers, producers/team, but above all the actors Can and Demet collectively. This will be regarded in time as The Greatest Love Story ever filmed. Ep 124 is the mid-way, where you feel your heart burning with sadness surpassing companionate, first love sediments, and all the worldly emotions known to mankind, some never experienced by most. Jealousy of family business position. many want Jan and Sanem to separate and unhappy ending.And Sanem a woman he loved him so much he ignored her just because of career.Jan was one they imprisoned deprived of dignity. This story why a lot of fans now of Jan because every one loves Jan about this story. Great actor. He played a real role when acting that happened to him. I love this story like a true story.
