“Early Buddhism” refers to the teachings given by the historical Buddha (Gotama) before they became codified into the various orthodoxies of the Buddhist religion.
During this evening of conversation, John, Stephen and Akincano explore what was distinctive in these teachings that distinguished them from the Indian culture of Gotama’s time. They also argue for a return to his original vision as an effective means to address the range of issues that confront people living in today’s world.

The phrase 'Early BuddhaDharma' seem more appropriate. Is 'nibbana' described as breaking of the 10 fetters, and unbinding of the 'five aggregates'?

Three failed monks, what did they not achieve or understand in their attempts in that life? Now experts on Dhamma?

they are not even teaching Dhamma. They are putting more "ism" on the Buddhist Religion. What they do is a fundamentalism-historicism buddhism. It has nothing to do with the religion of the Buddhist.

They are offering much to a non monastic practitioner. Its quite easy to criticize others, yet they offer well thought through and well informed information, I found helpful. I doubt your closed minded negativism offers much to others....

It could be those who remained monks that failed to understand. Batchelor has brought more people to Buddhism than many of the individuals who put on robes, shave their heads and hide away in monasteries.

They don't failed. They choose to spread the practice to wider spectrum of people in a more ancient but also modern way.
