Early Build of SVR 2006 Featuring Never Before Seen Superstars! 🤯 (WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2006)

This video features an early test build of WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2006 that was created 4 months before the final version.
Due to this being an early version of the game only Exhibition is available, however when looking through the roster there are various differences in the Superstar models, as well as the addition of two extra Superstars that weren't in the final version.
These new Superstar models include former Tough Enough winner Maven and former Smackdown star Luther Reigns who would never go on to appear in a WWE game.

It didn’t make any sense. I’m not bashing Joy BTW.

I have a feeling that might be why he was removed. In SmackDown Shut Your Mouth, they dubbed an instrumental version of the SmackDown theme song at the time over his actual theme in the game due to licensing issues. I guess they figured if they couldn’t use his music then they wouldn’t include him

This was the last wrestling game I bought until SvR 2010. And I bought every one since then except WWE ‘12. SvR 2006 is fantastic, but has so few tag teams which was a sign of the abysmal tag division at the time.

The placeholder commentary by the developers makes me feel so nostalgic despite hearing it for the first time. Why? It reminds of the very early days on KZbin when users uploaded their C-A-W leagues of matches from one of the WWE games with their own commentary. The cadence of their speech and mic quality is probably why I'm getting this sense of nostalgia, as it's very similar to what was heard back then in those C-A-W leagues. All that's missing from the placeholder commentary is a lot more vulgarity, haha.

At least AI tried diving finishers. They never did in 2007 for me. Completely gamebreaking when you play against RVD etc. as you never see their finishers. They would use a standing one or if they only have diving move, load up two and steal yours. It was on PS2, not sure about other consoles.

@@Eazye442 I meant AI not attempting diving finishers. Instead, they would store a finisher, load another one and use your move or just use their other non-diving finisher. It ruins matches against guys like RVD or Eddie because they would never ever attempt to hit Frog Splash. I'm taking it back though because it turns out the AI actually does perform diving finishers on Xbox 360 version. I was playing PS2 version before. I guess it's one of the things they fixed there, along with broken commentary when a steel chair is used. On PS2 it triggers Stone Cold Stunner commentary lol

@@piotrgti96 I agree but AI settings can be changed on pretty much everything, ofc with standard AI settings the game is annoying but if you change that its a new game. i never played against Eddie Guerrero but I played as Eddie Guerrero against the world for 15 years in this game. The only problem with the frog splash for me in this game is the opponent get up too early, they fixed this in 07, but its not impossible as i said. Anyway try to adjust the finisher frequency in AI settings, even though maybe you'll rarely see an IA Eddie or RVD doing forg splash because the game has this problem in normal matches which the opponent getting up too early

I wonder if there’s a hidden Billy Gunn model in the first SvR or even HCTP. We’ve already seen the beta model for Jeff Hardy and Hulk Hogan in HCTP, but never any of the other wrestlers that were meant to be included, but got cut, such as Gunn, 3 Minute Warning, Maven, Molly Holly, and more. Come to think of it, I wonder if there’s a hidden Lita model in SvR that we’ve never seen before.

Yeah it’s great man, I knew this a few months ago If your a ScottJay member you will get this build as a finished release build, plus there’s not just Maven or Luther Reigns, you will get Hardcore Holy, The Hardy’s, Bobby Lashley, Jake The Snake, Mr Kennedy, Albert, Rhyno, Mark Henry, Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon... Which there are even more as well. Also nearly each wrestler has 2 to 3 attires. Which has already been released as a previous version it’s great.

Love the game but I wish I could have played as Maven. They left him out for years. Also I hate that they left Victoria out even though she has a no model with 62 overall stats. I also thought Jackie Gayda would appear because of her motion capture entrance that is available. I do want to see if they ever put Stacy, Kristal, Ashley, or Michelle in 2007. Especially Stacy because she was a mainstay in the games and had no reason not to appear regardless of her absence from tv. I’m guessing that if they did start working on her then she would have been removed because of her contract expiring since her entrance and no Eder are still in the game.

I liked Joy’s test build render more than the final build. I like her face in the final build, but I like her hair better and her body looks more realistic and natural in the test build. Also, I’d say the final build of Michelle McCool is a MAJOR update and upgrade seeing as her test build looked like a generic version of her lacking her specific details and facial features completely.

They should add them in 07 bcuz at that wwecw started and had original ecw stars at that time.. Just imagine if there was dlc they could add ecw wrestlers in svr 07

@Tedgamer-hm9hq I think since 07 was a next gen game they took their time amd didn't care for ecw amd had used plans that were 2 years old at least so 05 06 roster was used in that game as the next gen games started development in 2005
