Does anyone know about gvhd affecting the heart IE heart attack? My father had a bmt about 7 months ago and recently had a sudden heart attack and passed

A lot of bone marrow transplant are unsuccessful & cause a lot of problems and complications. I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in April. My transplant gave me Graft vs Host. I am on steroids, I have lost 50 lbs. I relapsed in November 2020 I have had several blood transfusion along with platelets. I regret getting the bone marrow transplant. I was feeling wonderful when I was in remission. Along with the steroids they keep your blood sugars high. Iam on insulin now. Also I have blood clots in my lungs and right leg. I take chemotherapy pill every day. It's a struggle every day. My prayers are with you all whom is fighting this horrible disease. Doctors need to stop promoting bone marrow transplant, they are not successful.

I lost my daughter after her bone marrow transplant. She was 10 year old. Her sibling was the donor. Almost perfect match.she had G.V.H.D. and multiple infections.

I am so sorry for your family's loss, a parent outliving a child is a very hard and sad thing, my friend. She feels pain no more my brother, her sibling was heroic just as she was, I wish you all peace.
