Have the same symptoms but here in Zimbabwe I can't find a place to get a biopsy and if it's there it will be costly ...I am worried now

My mom was just diagnosed with melanoma. I saw and pointed out to her an unusual spot on her arm, it was black and asymmetrical. This was late summer/early fall last year. By the time she went in it was a raised itchy bump. So many feelings of uncertainty and anger and disappointment that she didn’t go get it checked right away and that I didn’t push her more to go get it checked right away. I’m devastated. Please don’t wait, get anything however small or seemingly insignificant checked!!

Besides screening, can CRP test be another strong indication of any malognancy taking place ?

I had a mole grow on my leg, it was there in a round shape for years. Then one day I accidentally shaved it off. Now it's back and a second one grew next to it. They are bumpy and sometimes have a zinging feeling in them. They are both the size of a pencil eraser or just a tad bigger. Also I've had a cough for 2.5 months. Is this melanoma? Is the cough related? Is there any way to get checked without insurance?

Ok. I found a free cancer screening place. It was a couple hours drive, and you have to wait quite awhile. Google "free skin cancer screening near me" if you're worried... they said it was a normal mole. They said sometimes they grow a "brother." Now my mole is triplets. I could have it removed "if it makes me feel better" they said. But it would be around 200 plus the office visit, and it would most likely grow back. So. . 🤷‍♀️

yea I've had a small mole red in color and circular since around age 20. doctor told me to watch it. then it disappeared for 10 years. i noticed it's back. same shape, same size. red ... it's weird that it went away then came back...

Definitely get it checked my mole on my scalp was melanoma...even the dermatologist i saw thought it was a bcc So shocked when biopsy results came back

First had to say I loved your presentation...ive had a pimple like thing on the side of my breast for so so so long ...it feels like a pimple..its small it has a hard layer of black point ....it never hurts until i was touching it....my ers is 38 H does that mean it could be melanoma?? Also having trouble passing some foods in the esophagus ( between my breast)....

I have A-typical Nevi Syndrome and I need a dermatologist that will take me on to "follow" me. I think I would be an excellent candidate for a study, although I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, also. Let me know if there's anyone who you know that would be interested in a case like me :) Oh, I was also diagnosed with a MM at age 14, in 1990, and had it surgically removed.
