The thing I love about this channel is: I will always know whether I'm going to know what I want to know, or not, in the first moments of the video. The format of "here's what the video is about ___, *snap" is so clear and concise, I've been watching for years. You really are a part of a dying breed of content creator and that's a shame, but you make something that people need and I'm sure there are many like me who feel this kind of gratitude towards you. My biggest gripe about this game upon its release, was the fact that it was based around a school setting. I don't want my FANTASY games, to have crap in them like school, learning, and work. I deal with that enough as is in reality. I want my games to be an escape from reality. I tried to give it a shot, I sat through two or three classes and found them to be so mind numbingly insufferable, I can't do it. The gift Pokemon and whatever else you learn about the game, isn't worth it to me. I'll either figure it out on my own, or just look up a specific video and skip ahead on my own terms, if I'm that desperate. School setting aside, the game was really good! I just hope moving forward, Pokemon doesn't do the whole...school BS again. Or, regular jobs. Last thing I want to do is play a Pokemon game where you're working an office job.

@Osma7772 жыл бұрын
My own personal tips, aka the two major mistakes I made in the early game 1: No matter your starter, get a fire type (I perfer fletchling for flying in addition) and level it to 15 so you can murder the first two gyms. As AJ said, catching, let alone using level 20-30 pokemon is annoyingly difficult otherwise. I can't tell you how many times I yelled at a pokemon with a sliver of health to just stay in the freaking ball. Both gyms are under level 20, so a fletchling with acrobatics is a cakewalk. Even catching one of each pokemon you find, plus a few candies from early raid dens, will be more then enough to get any pokemon to 20 which will make the gyms insultingly easy. 2: Don't do what I did and spend all day catching one of each and every pokemon you find. Will you do that eventually? Yes. But you will quickly come to realize that some are far, FAR more rare to find then others. Even when you know where they spawn, you will find one Dreepy for every 20 lechonk you find. Focus your efforts on catching the more difficult to find pokemon like charcadet, and otherwise just grab the ones you plan on using as you move forwards to the gyms. This is especially true in the rocky area to the east where I would have killed for the ability to climb walls instead of spending an hour wandering in circles to find that one pokemon who turned out to be in a cave I couldn't enter anyway.

Advice, Playing the older games is a MUST! If this is your first poke game, It is very different from others, This is the first time pokemon has done a full open world. You can dip your toe by playing newer ones, And even then this games is MUCh different from sword and shield, but that one wasn't as good as others, The graphics for the other pokemon switch titles are a lot better so if they can merge the 2 it would be awesome, And THEN you can grab some Pre 3d games like pokemon black and white, pokemon ruby saphire, poke platinum, pokemon Heart gold etc. AND THEN you can see what it used to be like in original Pokemon Johto, pokemon blue and red 1997 etc. Play all the different ways, and if you play the really old ones, Trust me, even if you are used to the new versions graphics, After about 10 minutes of playing any pokemon game you will Not care and have a lot of fun, Each is very unique and guides you with the same fun, some of the fun of the older games was that it felt like they knew what the player was thinking and characters would mention things, The older versions are more personal.

HTTYD is my favorite animated movie series, so i when i saw the mannerisms of Koraidon and Miraidon, i immediately loved it because they reminded me of Toothless!

If you can find a pincurchin, catch it. It carried me through most of early game (gyms, titan battles, ect…)

Austin, I'm in love with Pokemon Scarlet. I can't wait till my daughter gets home from school so she can fire up Violet. There is so much stuff. They really put in the work on this game not even gonna lie. I did notice some performance issues like frame rate drops and the like but that's no big deal. I've not really had this much fun in a Pokemon game since OG Pokemon Pearl.

I've barely started and similar to Legends: Arceus I'm quickly realizing that to enjoy this game properly, there's no point in being a completionist and exploring every part of the map. At least not until I beat it. Cuz this thing is HUGE.

I actually started to freak out when Austin mentioned the how to train your dragon thing. I noticed before that Miraidon acted like toothless and I loved it because I'm also a big fan of httyd. I just think it's funny and cool how we thought the same thing

You can engage pokemon in battle on the edge of cliffs that you can't normally get to, and it will teleport the player there. I got to so many places where I shouldn't have been able to get to and leveled my pokemon into the 30s before I ever went to school. It has made the beginning of the game EXTREMELY easy lol.

Hey, you did the same thing later in the video hahaha. Good call out.

Bought my Switch and this game last month. I am loving it. It has been more than 10 years without playing new Pokémon games.

The game was encouraging me to start the Treasure Hunt and I'm no I wanna go back to school. I had such a blast in the classes, getting to the know the teachers (way to blast down stereotypes with the Home Ec teacher, game freak, I love it!) And I truly loved reading all the books in the Entrance Hall. They completely enraptured my interest in what's to come and what I can't potentially find out there. Vast majority of the game is still completely unspoiled for me despite Facebook's best efforts. I am so invested in the mysteries of this game, all there is to see, and it's still take me hours to travel even half a mile cause every little path leads me on a wild tangent catching a ridiculous amount of Pokemon. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do with my boxes, organizing them into a full form Dex is gonna be a nightmare and I don't know all the different possible forms yet so I'll probably have to reorganize AFTER I catch everything. RIP

Ghost Tera-type Slaking... My friends have left me... Also an imposter ditto at a 3 star raid...so...that's neat...

On my first play through I used that ledge jump to escape and I managed to reach all the pokestops before I got the mount. It is doable to reach all towns but would still not advise it

Here's another helpful tip; As soon as you've completed the tutorial and are free to explore and you wish to fully unlock your koraidon/miraidon, go out and catch a nacli with sturdy ability and raise it to lvl 24 to evolve it (you can do this quick and easily by finding med. Exp. Candies on a beach to the south) and teach it salt cure. Then go buy a bunch of lemonades from a vending machine in the bug gym town. Then you can go battle the titans very easily... just use salt cure immediately, and keep using healing items to keep naclstack at 100% health and just sit back and let salt cure/sturdy do all the work for you (I cannot stress how well this works... I defeated all 5 titans immediately on my first ever playthrough, and my team hadn't even broken level 30!)

In the first area I went to the cliff to the left of the small village and fought riolu which accidentally allowed me to jump to area 4 before going to class lol

A good tip to Add would be that you can talk to the pokemon center nurse and ask where you should go. When you first get out of school and it gives you 20 different places to go and do, it can get a little overwhelming

Two amazing early game tips: 1. you can get false swipe after catching 30 Pokémon from Prof. Jacq. 2. If you fight a ditto with a Pokémon you needs mats for it will drop those mats when you defeat it.

There's literally such an overwhelming amount of content in this game. I can(and have) spend several hours just doing my own thing, and it's still as engaging as the main storylines.

My favorite bit of commentary to hear about a game: “I don’t recommend doing things this way, but you can if you want to.” That immediately tells me exploring and experimenting will more often than not be worth something lol.
