"Early Morning Rain," sometimes styled as "Early Mornin' Rain," is a song written, composed, and recorded by Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot.
My Version is based on the 1965 recording by Peter, Paul & Mary.
Played on my Gibson Hummingbird custom quilt fitted with an LR Baggs Anthem transducer.
Through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP Patch 1-66 Abbey road reverb
I made Tabs out the way I played it which are free to download from my website along with the Free BT Here :- philmcgarrick....

Hi Krishna - Yes summer still here although today we have some summer rain. Lots going on in the garden - Having to replace the raised patio flower beds which were all made of oak sleapers - they caught a fungus and all went rotten.So will replace them with bricks. Big job (mostly for my sons lol) Back to the music and a friend sent me the BT which was all acoustic so a good opertunity to use one of the acoustics for a change. Thanks for your good comments Ian - A friend sent me the BT which was an AI removal of PP&M's Vocals. So I thought it was appropriate to record an acoustic version for a change.The LR Baggs anthem has an internal microphone plus an undersaddle pickup and you can mix between the two. They cost an arm and a leg but are great for live gigs (not that I do any nowerdays) as you dont get the feedback as you do with conventional mikes.
