Early morning Tonic Clonic seizure

I've woken up to confusion, bad memory & embarrassingly, bits of dribble along my top.
It takes me a while to realise that I've actually had a Tonic Clonic seizure.
For the rest of the day I'm definitely not going to be feeling the best!

@@morethanjustaseizure4733 your very welcome. Epilepsy is hard. I do have it but very lucky it's controlled but my little bunny binky still sufferes from them hence why I have him on KZbin but KZbin is very good for advice. Have you tried cbd?

This isn't something that I have tried because at the moment, Epidyolex is only recommended as a treatment on the NHS for people with Dravet syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Tuberous Sclerosis. This is because there is good evidence that it reduces seizures for people with these conditions. However it is still needing more research on people with my type of seizures. I definitely wouldn't rule it out if it were allowed though.

I have these and the Absentee type. I have Epilepsy and EDS and I am so afraid that I will subluxation or dislocate my joints during a seizure.

Does your VNS help to reduce frequency of seizures?

To be honest it's very hard to say. I had it on for a year & then turned off due to complications however I've just had it switched on again as I'm willing to try again. It never seemed to stop the seizures occurring, however my husband did say that sometimes it seemed to reduce the length of time & severity of them.

I was diagnosed with Epilepsy when I was 2 and had my Seizure Tumor surgically removed when I was 8. Have you talked to a Neurologist about the possibility of getting surgery? There’s also the Ketogenic Diet that’s cured thousands.

Sadly I've tried all the medications & diet now & had the only operation possible to me (VNS). The specialists don't know what else they can do as they've tried it all! It's just taking one day to the next, because you never know one day there might be something new.
