Newly diagnosed this summer but I believe symptoms started around 7/8 years ago with vertigo and chronic fatigue, then 3 years ago I got electric zaps in my legs and head, 2 years ago transverse myelitis, last year loss of right arm function with numbness and pain, this year sixth nerve palsy (double vision) Was finally diagnosed with MS in the summer. Transverse myelitis was the first real disabling symptom which led me to be seen by a neurologist. Past 2/3 years I've had extreme stress, divorce, moved house, new job, although I have suffered with anxiety for a number of years. Happy to have a diagnosis and feel great with new health and diet changes 👍🏼💞

After my husbands heart attack he was diagnosed with cancer 4 days later. I went down hill mentally and physically. I had some problems before. Here and there. But after this. My body feels like it’s being attacked every day with pain. Mostly my legs and feet. But now I find my vision blurs. Never thought of it before until I saw these videos and had pressure in my eyes. Had to use steroids. My memory is fading. I’ll say things I don’t mean. Numbness in my hands and feet. I have a mri Thursday because I have a doctor that actually listened to me. But watching your videos. I now know all these symptoms you have. I’ve been doing also. Maybe it’s just stress or fibromyalgia is what I’m usually told. 🤷‍♀️ or maybe it is. But at least a doctor is trying to give me an answer.

Hi Liam, I'm sorry to hear about your foot pains. When I experience a lot of stress, I get a sensation of a knife stabbing into my head. My first attack of MS occurred several months after a major stress event.

Hi Liam! I’m from Brazil and I’ve been diagnosed with RRMS in February of this year. Your channel is helping me a lot to navegate through this season of acceptance. Here in Brazil we don’t have many references of men with MS to look up. So thank you so much for your job here in KZbin. Gives me courage 🧡

Can anyone relate to these symptoms? The recent ones don't seem common ? First symptoms:I had a cluster of symptoms over 5 weeks (2 years ago) these symptoms only happened during those weeks: First was a sensation of suction around my eyeball. (I had my eyes checked and both were very heathy and 20/20 vision), Deep pain in leg muscles (like a fist), lost bladder control, forgot words, numbness on right side face and 1/2 tongue very numb and sometimes electricity in arms or legs. Following that I developed low grade fever that has persisted for 2 years. Randomly I'll have very numb patches that last for a day or a few days. Then 3 months after that initial "attack" my right eye developed a Scotoma (grey circle in lower vision), this persisted for another 6months with sometimes pain. Eye tests showed retina is good and don't see inflammation of optic verve. 3 weeks ago that Scotoma changed into a central vision blur, kind of greyish smudge. At the same day my left eye developed grey smudges and I had a sparkling headache on the left side of my face. The last random symptom are canker sores only on my tonsils. They reappear every 2-2.5 weeks, one on each tonsil. (Tested for other factors like STDs and those are all negative.) Blood work is "fine" Iron is within limits but working to raise it. Thanks for reading this story!

My story: optic neuritis in 2011, I went to a specialist and he said “it happens, we don’t know why” my vision came back 6 weeks later and I continued with my life. I guess I ignored symptoms. I was in uni, and mostly focused on my life at school. 5 years later my GP asks me to go for another MRI. She asked me why I didn’t tell her I had MS.?!? I had no idea and it took some time for me to accept it. Things got worse, so it was undeniable 😅 I started on ocrevus in 2017. What a ride.

3 weeks post covid infection I had my first symptom/relapse with optic neuritis in my left eye, sadly it has left me with permanent 20/200 vision in that eye as it never fully recovered. At the time my entire vision in that eye was black, I couldn't see a single thing apart from the very edges / outside of my vision. At this same point I was also incredibly stressed at work (programmer + work in defence - this was the time Ukraine was invaded) + was purchasing a house + relationship was a bit rocky + my nan had died 2 months prior + this was after 2 years of lockdown - bit of a mess really. No really noticeable symptoms prior to this, perhaps slight vertigo that I had experienced 5 years prior, but I chalked that down to anxiety/having a bit of a burnout after my MSc. Childhood stressors are also an interesting one - wasn't always easy, our family was an expat one - it meant I had moved around about 5-6 times prior to turning 18, then again to a new country for uni. Every time was a little traumatic, new area, losing all your friends etc etc. There were also other things to add but anyway - interesting video :) Good to acknowledge the stress and to work on it - I now try to minimize stress as much as I possibly can.

My first symptoms came when I was deployed to Estonia. One month after I came home, it really hit me. I had trouble walking up to my sink. My vision in my right eye was blurry. I felt very weak. I lost 16 kilograms. I weighed 59 kilograms when I was finally diagnosed. Here is a more natural-sounding translation: My first symptoms appeared when I was deployed to Estonia. I weighed 59 kilograms when I was finally diagnosed.

Something happened to me after a certain vaccine in 2021, I ended up in hospital with severe weakness in my legs, unable to stand unaided, weird wave like sensations across my body, electric like zaps in my head, numbness that started in my foot and spread upwards, cramping in my right leg, episodes of full body tremors etc..i recovered over the next year or so and had residual symptoms I began weight training and found I was feeling quite weak after exercise but didn't think anything of it..I was experiencing lots of symptoms, headaches, bouts of fatigue, in refreshing sleep..just felt weird and sluggish in a morning Weird stomach issues..I had a virus and 2 weeks later I had another relapse that was very similar to the one before..but I had more symptoms ...stiffness, cramping in my right leg, severe headache, weakness in my back, I had trouble standing up so used crutches at times. Brain fog, like I had cotton wool in my head. The weird electrical zapping in my brain again. Tightening a cross my ribs..my right arm became weak too and I had altered sensation ..a year on Ive slowly recovered again but left with more residual symptoms than before..had 2 MRIs apparently normal despite having white matter spots on frontal lobe. Been told it's anxiety! Or FND but I have permanent damage. Not sure what to think so I just look after myself the best I can, I have good and bad days. Tingling numbness, fatigue, chills, back pain, headaches weakness..each day is different. I have good and bad days. If I do too much I pay for it with more symptoms..does this sound like MS? I have a neurology appointment next week so I'm ready for the gaslighting and minimizing as that is all I have come up against sadly. My arm is cramping as I'm texting this
