Weren’t great? The first rounders have been horrendous. Since 2017 when watt was drafted, 3 of their 6 first rounders ARENT EVEN ON THE TEAM. It’s horrible. And it looks more and more likely that Najee is gone! So in their last 6 first round picks, only 2 will be on the roster next year, and one of them is broderick jones, and the other played one half of football his rookie year. Not to mention, the two before watt are Artie Burns and Dupree, who also didn’t get a second contract. It’s not just bad, it’s horrendous

I’m a fan, not an expert. Imho, this team is mediocre. KC moved up in the draft to get Mahomes. Jackson was there for the taking. The Steelers have moved up before to get Bush who was a bust. The Steelers have had collapses near the end of 5 of 7 seasons. They lost five games in a row this season - four of them were embarrassing losses. This team has been looking suspect for a while and more than a few fans can’t see how this team is going to significantly improve with the current regime in place. The thing about bad teams, they can improve and a few could even surpass the Steelers. Cincinnati could pass the Steelers next year if they play their cards right.

A good subject for discussion would be salary cap projections for AFC North teams for the mext three years. The other three teams are paying a QB, and we aren't. I'm curious when those contracts will start to force cap casualties. Also, I wouldn't put Jackson or Burrow above Ben until they win a Superbowl AND sustain this same level in their careers for another decade. You may disagree, but I ask, where does Andrew Luck rank for you these days compared to Ben? Sustained excellence trumps a few excellent seasons. As soon as Jackson or Mahomes lose a step speed-wise and can't run-and-gun, you'll rank Ben over them. Neither is as accurate as he was, nor do they throw more than 30 passes per game. Doesn't bode well late-career. I doubt they are completing 65% of their passes in the next three years. Happened to Kaep. I'll admit this comment is starting to sound more like a manifestation than a prediction, but I might be right! 😂😂 Thanks again for a great show!

Howie Roseman built the Philadelphia Eagles roster. Outside of maybe KC and Detroit, it’s the envy of the NFL. Howie Roseman hired Andy Weidl and they worked together for 6 years until 2023 when Andy returned home to Pittsburgh. The Eagles roster features, at its core, a massive, strong, fast and deep line of scrimmage, with hard hitting, coverage defensive backs. The Steelers have the direct opposite, this side of 1978. An outdated, edge rushing, linebacker giddy, disappointment. The team is led by one of only two 3rd generation owners. An affable man of law, with more local board appointees than post season NFL victories. The other 3rd generation owner; John Mara of the NY Giants. You could combine both rosters and still get your ass kicked by Philadelphia, Steel Curtain Style. “What in the hell Am I doing here” must ring loud in Andy Weidl’s mind as well as long time season Steelers ticket holders.

You guys kill me 😂 You said we had no chance at any of the top QBs cause we pick at 27! Well first when's the last time we picked at 27? I know you wanted him too so im not saying you didn't but that was a terrible decision. And what really drives me up a wall with you guys is that you mentioned top teams that you thought were a loaded roster and can win without a top QB! The Eagles being the example right? Well what do they have that we dont have? They have a great Defense and We have a great Defense, They have a good coaching staff and we have a good coaching staff. So whats missing? Number 1 is that they have a Mobile QB in Hurts and they base there offense around him, We have a running QB too but we refused to stick with him ans keep trying to come up with something better 😢 What if you actually stick with Fields and build the team around him using his skill set? Then I think we could be right there with The Eagles wirh a couple key additions!!! #2 based on having Fields what else do the Steelers not have that the eagles do that would benefit not only Fields but also our Defense? Its a RB!!! Duh!! In a zone read team you need a dynamic RB. The opposing Defense has to fear the RB for it to work and we don't have that!! But we could!! Lets quit screwing around and draft the best damn RB available. Draft Omarion Hampton in the first and maybe a receiver in the second. Keep Fields and Pickens and go with that!! Worry about Defensive players in the 3rd, 4th and 5th!! We need to make up are minds on what type of Offense were gonna be!! I think a Mobile QB with a Bad A$$ RB and another Receiver could go alone way! Don't believe me? Well see us getting stomped by Eagles and Ravens this year and tell me it doesn't work!! If it doesn't work with Fields this year then atleast are team would already be setup for maybe another QB like A Lamar or Hurts type!! Plus its actually what Arthur Smith wants to and likes to run!! So No corners or DTs in the first? That's not gonna help our Offense or our Defense for that matter getting stuck on the field all game!! So lets get back to Real Steelers football and Draft a RB in the first cause this year is the year to do it!! Remember we were at our best when we had Franco, Bus and Bell!! That's Steelers Football!! Go Steelers 🖤💛

No. The coaching does stink. You can't scapegoat goat the quarterback for all that ails the team. The coaching does not adjust, and the coaching limits it's quarterbacks. We can all see they don't adjust, prognosticators see they don't adjust, other teams see they don't adjust, their own players mention that they didn't adjust. That is coaching. The Steelers' seasons' regardless of personnel ends the exact same way, every year. The Ravens lose receivers...they beat you with tightends or the run. That's coaching and adjustments. The better coaches and teams run circles around around the Steelers coaching. The Steelers have the talent, they are just poorly utilized. If our coach was with another team, he wouldn't have been fired 5-10 years ago.

They went need over best available. You don’t do that in first 2 rounds. You draft best available. Then trade the starter from previous year or the draft pick for way more value if you don’t need them both. They needed Hen and Lamar. I could see drafting a top WR or a different QB if they thought a different guy was better. But no. Rudolph in 3rd. Just wait until 6th if you don’t go QB in 1.

I think that the NFL has rigged the game now. Before you could win with an average QB a 65 to 72 rated one. Now you have to have an 85 even if you have a loaded team to beat a 95 or better rated QB. Those days are over.

The roster doesn't stink- yes. The coaching staff doesn't stink but it damn sure isn't very good. Sorry fellas but if we had Mahomes in Baltimore we still lose! QB didn't give up 300 yards on the ground. That is where our coaches are borderline terrible. We haven't had a real shot in 14 years. You guys are kinda ridiculous. Brady, Brady, Brady...Giants beat them twice in the Super Bowl, Eagles beat Brady and Seattle should have. Tomlin is AVERAGE and you guys can't expect that

The chiefs can play whatever tackles they want because the refs let them get away with horrible holding and false starting allll game long

I normally love this show, and listen every single day, but I couldn't make it to the 10 minute mark today. Brutal.

If these guys aren’t speaking the line they were give… meaning if this is what they really believe they are DELUSIONAL. The schemes and schematics we deploy are trash. We have no QB. The DC and O line coach shouldn’t even be coaching in the NFL. The Steelers are a disaster. A laughingstock around the NFL. I’m about done with this 💩
