Lol, the way how you just left the room when nightmare appeared reminded me when the boss freaked me out when i first saw it. Lucky for you the door wasn't locked, i had to take a L because i didn't know what to do after a few tries 😂

What happens if you kept going left and used debug menu for screw attack to go passed the drop tiles. Since sector 5 breaks later due to nightmare or are you already that far in the story and just went back to sector 4
@ZX4973 жыл бұрын
This is right after stopping reactor meltdown in Sector 3, which is before the Nightmare rampage in the story, so the area in Sector 5 hasn't progressed to destroyed state yet. However, if you use debug tools to get there from this side, the area is destroyed, until you progress past the first destroyed room. If you go beyond that and backtrack, the area will revert back to regular, non-destroyed state. Zero Mission and Fusion both load different area states not only depending on your game progression but also the entry way.

@@ZX497Zero Mission actually had me confused with the Power Grip room, it will think I don't have Power Grip, even when I grabbed it, but just made a weird glitch to enter the room the wrong way

How does the out of bounds dictate where you go and does every room have its own separate value?
@ZX4978 жыл бұрын
+GamenooberX As for basic movement options OoB: - Ball jump (one block diagonally up). - Spin jump (one block horizontally). - Straight jump (one block diagonally up). And, that's just about what we are able to do, so far no way to clip downwards in this game. Each out of bounds area is basically identical. There are some fine-form differences due to water, camera, shape of the in-bounds area ie, but as for the overall shape of the OoB portion, this is how it is: - There is an open area above and below the in-bounds room you are currently in. So, if for example you are in a room that is mapped as being 2-rooms wide, you have 2-rooms worth of open space stretching aaaaaallll the way around the entire "universe" of that room. - There are solid blocks every else. - The OoB area wraps around both ways. If you go up enough, you come from the bottom, and if you fall to the bottom, you come back through the top. - Only the things that are regularly loaded, while you are in-bounds, are loaded at all. So, you cannot wrong warp (only the exits that are normally loaded are loaded), and you cannot collect items that aren't located inside the room you are currently in.

+ZX497 i.imgur.com/BfyGt8O.png Here's a picture that might clarify the OoB structure. On the left, there's a regular map (with the room I'm currently in highlighted), and on the right is how the entire game area works, while I'm inside that room. Hopefully some of this answered your question, lol.

+ZX497 Oh, yeah, one last thing. You might wonder how it's then possible to first get on top of the open area at the top (to charge a shinespark), and then get in the wall-part to climb up. Well, the reason for this is, that roof of the area is a bit wonky: if you land on the roof, you get pushed backwards one block. So, just jump while facing away from the wall and you get pushed inside.
