It's because he didn't realize it was a masterball. Also as a player and a collector the option to have flashy versions of commons, uncommons and holo rare cards with full card texture to put in our decks is pretty awesome.

I'm not even hyped about any of the eevee evolutions but maybe that's cope cause I'm not willing to pay for their singles since they will likely be very overpriced.

This set screams "buy singles". The new reverse holos look great! The playable cards and reprints are certainly welcomed. And you can probably get your fill of those for less than half of an ETB, where your "hit" is a reprint or throw-away EX.

Damn. This set seems to be hard to get any decent hit. 3 in total from all those packs, and they were either reprints or bulk ultra rares. Only good thing is there are some reprints of trainers that have been pretty expensive, such as Earthen Vessel. I'm hoping to get any alt arts of the Eeveelutions, since I have a dedicated binder with them.

Wow tbh trash set. TRASH pull rate, from 18 packs 3 hits??? Also besides a few new cards, FULL of reprints?? Oh but it's ok since they introduced yet another type of "hit" with the pokeball reverse cards. For me this set screams "greed" since it is only so hyped due to the eeveelutions, but other than that it is extremely lazy with 80% of the set being reprints. In the japanese version the pull rate is insane, almost every pack has a hit ffs.
