Hello - this particular story was made during a SLQ run digital story workshop. It is the creation of a workshop participant. My grand parents moved to Maroochydore after my father was borne in monto in 1930 I think he was in his teens by than so they moved there in mid 40,s I remember going there for holidays in the 60,s even went to Maroochydore school far a while while dad worked away . It was a small town then .

does anybody remember the 2 wooden speedboats that used to give joyrides in Cotton Tree lagoon in the late fifties, early sixties? They both had a name painted on the sides.

Maroochydore means BLACK SWAN which comes from the local native story of Coolum and Ninderry. Get your facts right!!
