EARLY SIGNS THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS

So here's one that I'm often asked in TTC groups: Did I know, before the scan, that I was expecting twins? The first time, not so much because although in retrospect there were plenty of signs, I had never been pregnant before to know what was 'normal' for me. The second time, I knew it was twins from the time that implantation occurred. Here is my story of how I knew that I was expecting twins and signs and symptoms of twin pregnancy.
How did this compare with your pregnancies? If you had twins, what were your symptoms? If you had just one baby, were your signs similar to mine?

I just found out I'm pregnant. 9 days after ovulation. Positive on 3 different test including the clearblue digital. I'm so hot/sweaty and already getting nauseous if I don't eat. I'm literally only 3 weeks. What if it twins!? I did have 2 losses before this so i really hope it is twins. I also had implantation cramping for a few days before I tested positive. I just pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby thats all that matters

Interesting. Found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. Two lines showed up immediately. I had all these symptoms and did not have twins. I was burning up, felt like I had heat rashes, peeing constantly, always thirsty, extreme nausea the entire pregnancy (even before finding out), complete exhaustion, and food aversion. Pelvic pain (lightning crotch), heart palpitations, just about everything 😂

Feeling hot that's such an unusual one I've never heard of that as a symptom before it's so lovely that all embryos implanted and now you have four beautiful children. My first symptom was breathlessness I'm not sure how common that is?? xx

Breathlessness? Really? I've only experienced breathlessness in pregnancy with anaemia! How crazy. Bodies are weird. x

I was just amaze that we do have the same symptoms eventhough I already took a bath I still feel so dang hot and can't sleep, which I supposedly need a lot of sleep because of work, but the thing is that I feel a menstruation like pain (cramps in my abdomen part) hmm is it normal? However I'm looking forward to have ultrasound soon to confirm! 😁

Oh this is very interesting. That's crazy that you were so hot when in early pregnancy. I never had that - but then I've never had twins! You poor thing being so ill too. All worth it though now you have your beautiful babies xx

Two very common signs that a pregnancy is twins is extreme bloating and flatulence. I had these so bad from 3 weeks pregnancy that i googled "bloating and wind in pregnancy" and every article came up with "twins". I had insomnia with my first, but not my twins. I also has the hotness with my fourth, but not my twins. I definitely had the nausea with my twins and that developed into 10 weeks with HG. At 5 weeks with twins I had a hcg test as we feared a chemical miscarriage. My levels came out at over eight thousand. I asked how many it needs to be to turn a pregnancy test positive and I was told 5. This was a big insight to just how high my levels were and thankfully I was still pregnant and it was definitely twins, they were just late arriving in their sacs! Oh and I also had the sweet tooth with my 3 girls but not with my boy. I actually used my cravings to predict the gender of all my babies+

That's bc boys require more protein and fat than girls. Brrastmilk will even be a different composition for boy babies than girl babies and they require more milk also.

Amazing! I don't like sweet things in general but I'm craving them now, my instinct says it's a girl but what ever it is I'm OK with, currently 10 weeks. I am suspecting twins but not in high hopes

I had a strong positive 10 DAYS before my expected period lol I'm sick, exhausted, but I wake up at 6 or 7am most days whether I want to or not lol. Sometimes the sick feeling makes me get up. We're kind of nervous because we're like, "are twins a possibility???" I'm still waiting to miss my period time, but I can't get over having such strong positives before that time...even digital tests are telling me "YES"

Ahh! I haven't gotten any prenatal dates yet, but I checked on the conception calender and it says Oct 22 :P My birthday is Dec 22, Dad was the 21st of June and my grandmother was the 22nd of June :P so it seems to be a theme haha. Our last pregnancy ended in MC, so I'm so so so scared it'll happen again. I both can't wait and dread the OB appointment.

First ultrasound has shown ONE baby and one beauuuuutiful heartbeat!!! But I was only 7 weeks 1 day ahahah, so we'll see later this month! I'm fairly sure though that it's just the one baby :) :) :) which we're absolutely delighted to have.

Well I have the same simptoms as your second pregnancy with twins ..this is what I was looking for cause I know about that feeling of implantation but this one it's different it's on the right side and it's moving then on left side ..I had a spotting 2 days ago ..light brown we are actually praying for twins we have a girl 4 years old and we would love to give her 2 more brothers or sisters or a girl and a boy ❤ fingers crossed 🤞 to don't be just my idea and to be pregnant and maybe they will be twins. But I feel like it will be ❤ I will update ..the results ❤

Vibe Feeler yes on my 3rd pregnncy i felt pain in both sides of my uterus and after 1 week got a pregnancy test and it came back clearly positive then i got a blood test and when they call ed to tell me it was positive i ask about pain in my uterus 1 week prior the test and the nurse said it is implantation pain, perhaps i only had one baby, so no sure why felt pain in both sides.

Absolutely! I think most women dismiss them as pms cramps because you implant about 7-10 days (give or take) before your period is due. I never noticed them until this pregnancy (my 4th) & I remember Googling it because I just knew they were implantation cramps.
