The video I saw was the early start,early finish, Late start and Late finish this topic very important from PMP exam perspective. Firstly in this, I got to know about the float which is the amount of time an activity can be delayed without impacting the project end date. Secondly, I got to know about some definations such as what is early start ? The earliest that an activity can start. Early finish the earliest time that an activity can finish. so obviously late start and late finish is the latest time that an activity can start and finish. Thirdly, the kind of explaination they gave through the representation was a very easy form to understand the things well.

I have a question. If activity A is ending on day 4, ideally activity B should start on day 5. Because (day 5 + day 6 + day 7) = 3 days. If I am starting activity B on day 4, and with 3 day duration for this activity, it should end on day 6. Including day 7 will make it 4 days. is it not? thank you.

There are two ways to calculate Network Diagram values, you are mixing them up. Check out this video, it should help avoid the confusion - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZrMoXt_nad0jKc

I'm on pages 309 and 310 in Headstart this book is saying that the early start in an activity is always 1. I do understand on the critical path its zero because theres no float on a CP. However you added 0 to A instead of a 1 according to the book. I understand the concept of the calculating strategy but if it's always 1 on the ES our calculations will be off. Please advise if ES on non critical path starts with 1 or 0? Thanks

Why we took 17 in I, as we take lower no in backward. Also I is not connected with G?
@pmclounge Жыл бұрын
In backward pass, we are looking at the Late Finish (which is 17). 11 is the Early Finish. Yes, I is not connected with G in our example
