We escape to a beautifully designed remodeled a-frame cabin at the end of a dirt road in early summer. We go to one of my oldest friend's wedding, hike a mountain and enjoy the sweet smell of the blooming lilacs and honeysuckles.

I remember when Banana Spiders showed up in Pease AFB in the summer of 64. We (my brothers and sisters) used to lay in the fields on blankets. Two of the five of us were 1 and two), we would clear the place of spiders and watch the clouds for shapes. We had a couple of neighborhood beagles who would be happy to spend the afternoon with us. Whizzer and bezel were friends who would show us where the mice were. Great fun.
