Maybe they were just regular jerks then, but it seems they came to believe the hype sometime after Joshua Tree. Interesting situation to be in, it must have huge difficulties. But you know... not everyone can make music at all let alone great music, and that makes them special, at least for that, and so we look up to it. Music does something special to us, especialy when there's sexual attraction involved as well. Just a few reflections this xmas morning...
