I honestly think Charlie should do a cooking show on YT. And even if he doesn’t feel like an expert at everything, it would be great to watch him learn. ❤️

This KZbinr, Josie, invests a huge amount of time and creativity into all her work. She deserves to have far more followers. I hope the brands are paying her properly for sharing so much of her own domestic and emotional labour with us on their behalf. Thank you, Josie, Charlie and family!

@@andgummybears Well, everyone on KZbin, Twitter, Instagram, etc. gets a special " fan club " of haters who dedicate their lives to hanging shit on them just for the fun of it. I love constructive criticism or when someone deserves being called out when they cross the line, but when it becomes just bitchy bullying and trolling... Nope !

You and Charlie are as daft as each other. We've never laughed so much at two people rating mince pies so seriously 😂😂😂😂 BUT... a bad mince pie is utterly depressing when you're so looking forward to it. My Mummy used to make the best mince pies, but sadly her little hands won't allow her to make them anymore and now I'm dairy intolerant 😂 it's just gets worse. Although...Tesco's does great dairy free mince pies. We have started on our decorations too. The front door is done and the dining room is half done. We have to start early as we have 4.5 trees 🙄😂🎄 All very tasteful and decorations that go back years and years. Christmas trees are memory trees after all... Much love, Mummy and I X
@daniellereid012 жыл бұрын
Just an FYI: The Sunday Times had a great recipe for dairy and gluten free mince pies and they are so good! It was a couple of years back, though, but you might be able to find it online. The pastry was made with almond flour and they are seriously some of the best I've ever tasted x

Toad in the Hole: (truly a guess at the pause - so no cheating) My real guess is some kind of cooked sausage and gravy over mashed potatoes. What I’d love it to be is a bread bowl filled with a cheesy type soup (or perhaps a pea soup for the green color) and a swirl of cream sauce with asparagus spears sticking up around the edges for a swamp look. Then in the center of the bowl, a pair of “pâte a choux” frog legs standing on end so it looks like a frog has just taken a flying leap into the swamp. (PSA: No frogs are harmed in the making of this dish!)

Your bookcase is gorgeous! It goes so well in that room and lighting will be perfect. I have to disagree with Josie (which I rarely do) on the sofa fabric. The room is all wood and warm furniture colors which are very similar and maybe the sofa in a constrasting color would break up some of the similar color palette throughout the room? We bought a beautiful cherry breakfront for our dining room and I wanted red walls, but it all seemed to blend so we went with dark blue walls and it is just enough contrast. Just a thought. Your taste test made me want a mince pie!

I vote for the 'terracotta/rusty pink' mohair fabric, it tones in very well with your other furnishings. American here, but I already knew that Toad in the Hole is essentially sausages baked in Yorkshire pudding because it's one of my favorite 'beige' meals. Loved the mince pie taste test... I also prefer the perfect mince filling to pastry ratio ideal and that's why I make my own... You should try making your own too, that would be a lovely bit of 'vlogmas' content. As always, lots of love to you and yours! Let the Holiday Season begin!

The building that’s embossed on the Dior makeup is the Maison Dior. It’s literally the house of Dior. It’s on my bucket list to see it one day. PLEASE PLEASE don’t drill into that book case. It will PLUMMET the value. I mean, it has to work for you obviously. But, antiques tend to be an investment and that would be like chipping a diamond . I’m not cheating…I just grew up with a best friend who’s Dad was from Nottinghamshire.
