Remember when Anthony was whiteboarding how to get a Netflix series about himself and trying to convince Marco that was more important than selling watches because of the "lifestyle" they were selling? That was a real hoot. I thought I was watching a kindergartner playing make-believe.

The thing is, his background. The guy has 13 mugshots plastered on the internet and nobody blinked an eye. He was touching Rolex watches w/ an ankle monitor on.
@BoleDaPole

That's what made it so exciting though, far more thrilling than simply going into a reputable watch store and dealing with some bland saleman/ saleswoman/salesperson or ordering it online only for it to be delivered by some random plebian deliverer in a plain auburn/awny/chesnut coloured/colored box. Also ppl need to remember that he sold far more watches legitimately and allegedly only scammed a handful of customers so it's not like everyone was being scammed. More people came away happy than left sour.

His last video he said he thought it would be a good idea to have a spreadsheet with his expenses. Seriously?!?! That just shows he was never planning to make money, he was just going to blow his client’s money as long as he could until everything fell apart. Complete scam from the start.

I love how his team acts like they had no idea. You watched him spend all the money and saw the volume of the sales, obviously they didn't add up. When he goes down I hope he at least takes a deal to avoid his team getting prosecuted or they are going down too.

I know right. From watching his videos, he often dropped some numbers like margins per sale and volume. I did the math as a business owner and I was really confused. I actually naively thought maybe there was other income streams like KZbin making these happen.

Someday, someone will start pointing out Nico Leonard’s lavish lifestyle : the Ferrari, the buying a $8 k Hublot just to trash it, the mansion, the impulse buying of thousands of dollars of sneakers in 30 minutes, and ask : how can the guy afford to pay his staff and spend so much money ?

Pretty sure Nico's cars are mostly rented tho, so not a 500k sinkhole like Anthony, and the mansion I imagine it's on land that was pretty cheap to get - a person making 100k annually could get a really nice place out in the boonies vs Anthony was spending 95k monthly for a penthouse xD

In some ways I feel like you could be talking about Nico Leonard too. When you see him on his stories and he's traveling all over to deliver watches, but Nico also has over a million followers. But I still don't know how he does it. But he has the God Tier merch, the KZbin revenue, and probably he sells a lot of watches all over, but I sometimes question his spending too.

As soon as seen he flew to meet a buyers wife to prove a watch was genuine I knew he was full of shit. The watch was a $20-$30k watch and he was out of pocket $3-$4k jet setting around after the sale. The only logical thing to do was to offer a refund if you wanted to be nice or told them they were mistaken and to bug off. He was explaining that he couldn’t have people trashing his good name and it was worth spending even more money to prove he was legit. If you’re legit you don’t need to spend money proving it to folks. The gay watch guy is going back to prison

Somethings you might be right but the thing with hand delivering watchs is beacuse of the insurance needed to send a 20k or higher cost watch its cheaper to fly out and delivery it himself than the logistics needed to send it via fedex and if its a high end piece it needs a armored truck so to many logistical things to do so its easier taking a flight so on the part your mistaken.

Going to give you three reasons TPG was doomed to fail...Reasons 1 and 2 were the same (excessive spending) and Reason 3 wasn't a reason the business failed. It was part of the scam. You want to talk about reasons the business failed...misappropriation of funds, excessive overhead, poor marketing decisions, negative social media presence, lack of infrastructure, high rates of turnover, inadequate billing and accounting practices, etc. Oh...and the fact that Anthony turned it into a ponzi scheme and ponzies ALWAYS fail eventually.
