Any of those soft baits hard to stay on the hook, mix up a slurry of Borax and garlic oil and soak them in it for a few hours. The combination works well and the baits will stay on the hook way longer

Micah the absolute best catfish bait to use is eel. Go to your local asian supermarket and they usually sell them live. Just cut it up normally and throw it out, the catfish LOVE the oils and greace. Not to mention the guts all the way through the eel. :)

I think it depends on where you are as to how it's pronounced. I had never heard it pronounced croppie until I heard you and Ace say it. I've always heard crappie!!! Same with pecans!!! Anyway, awesome video!

from my experience crappie love to up bite. they feed upward, the will often grab the bait and swim up towards the hole when I'm ice fishing, putting slack in the line, jig threw the bite a little and you will feel them more.
