Thank you so much for this! I'm on week one of my internship and was thinking I should be documenting this process for KZbin (because it has been a journey) and came across your channel! Very informative and wish I would have found this video 4 years ago. 😄

Awesome information. Also, i think another consideration is if the school is nonprofit or forprofit. Based off research, forprofit might not be the way to get a msw

Hi 👋🏾 thank you for your informative videos. I am currently looking to pivot from corporate event management & WPS (work place service) to Social Work. As I have continued to find myself over the years advocating & organizing/planning community events and that I find more solace there than producing a wide range of events from bridal to large conferences, ect. So SW is somewhat new to me. As I graduated w/my BS in Int. Business & Marketing. How would I begin to go about getting my degree in SW and finding the best career path? I believe I would eventually like to get into policy but baby steps. I graduated in 2013 so I know A LOT had changed but I’m excited to eventually get back to school.

Thank you for this, I am going to attend Grand Canyon university program in a October or go to Lehman college. Oh yes a lot of these jobs wants to make sure that your degree came from a accredited university, because if the university or degree is not an accredited, yes it would be hard for an individual to transfer their credits to another university, and yes, if the program is not an accredited you won’t be qualified for Financial Aid that is true. And I am in student debt from the bachelors program balance is 26,126 dollars, that’s why I am not applying for college yet, because I don’t want to be in no more student debt at all. Yes what your saying is absolutely true, if you have a balance you cannot transfer to another college,so yes these colleges will do some research, and it’s very important to always do some research especially when it comes to an accredited college or degree especially. And one thing is always ask the university or CUNY colleges if it meets the NYS license, this is very important to know, because I will always tell individuals if your going to a university college, you want to make sure that it meets the NYS licensing. Learning more about the CSWE program is important to, never assume anything do your research, investigate on these universities/ CUNY colleges, because you don’t want to waste your time and money if the NYS licensure is not going to meet the requirements. Yes if I was in the MSW program doing full time and going to work full time, that can be a lot. To be honest I wouldn’t have time to be working so, back in college getting my associates degree, I was working full time and going to college full time, it was a lot, so i cut some hours to work part-time, because most jobs wouldn’t care if your trying to better yourself. School is the one top priority. And my degree is in sociology empathize in social work. The program is an accredited, and was told that I wouldn’t be qualified for the advanced standards program because my degree is in sociology, yes I can apply for the MSW program, not the advanced standard program. I love your motivation, dedication, hard work, and very professional, your motivation keeps me going

Hi Shekira, do you mean my thoughts on attending a school that is in the process of accreditation?
@i_kira_b2 жыл бұрын
@@ManickaThomas yes! I was considering a program however they told me that by haven’t fully been approved for accreditation but that y the time I finished the program they would be. Or even if it happened after completion of the program it would retroactively apply to my degree.
