I’ve been medically retired from the Army since January of 2012 with only 80% service connected . On 2021 of September I was awarded my 90% service connected for P&T IU which that pays me at a total of 100% service connected. They don’t give you that kind of rating just to anybody . That’s just means yeah he can’t work due to all of his conditions from the military and while being deployed to Iraq .

What does the hobby level job exactly mean. Ive been on ssdi since 2000 i was thinking of doing some kind of delivery services with my own car to make 100$ a week extra to give me something to do a few hours a week.

A hobby level job refers to work that doesn't exceed the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) limit set by the Social Security Administration (SSA). For 2024, the SGA limit is $1,310 per month for non-blind individuals. If you're considering a delivery service job, it's important to ensure your earnings don't exceed this limit. If they do, it could impact your SSDI benefits. Remember, the $1,310 limit is gross income if you're a W-2 employee or net income after expenses if you're self-employed. You can learn more about this in our video: www.thedisabilitydigest.com/how-much-i-can-make. We're here to support you. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out.
