Its quite sad. I know of people complaining that charity collectors are everywhere these days, pestering us to give, give, give. I replied yes, because there's a NEED. Look at children dying of starvation globall for example. Perhaps that one pound/dollar given with a pure heart will be our entry to Jannah.

True my friend nowadays there is many charity associations many will think that they are frauds true maybe some of then but if you changed your point of view and see it as Allah making sadqa easy for us then that time you realize the blessing sad you find people say this association have money why i should give them money to help the poor. May Allah protects us. Today i cane to know that there is website that collect charity projects and you can donate online easily look how Allah making it easy on us but the majority just making excuses as not to donate check this website www.give.org.kw/en inshallah we will see our contributions in the judgment day. 😇

i love charity i do a lot of under "silent charity" i believe i cannot enter heaven with small particles of ujub riak takabbur. Thats why i need to do it silently. I remember Hamka (Indonesia Ulamak) once refuse something to protect his heart from ujub riak takkabbur etc. I love this so much ❤ charity can assist us a lot to enter paradise. Charity can comes in many forms . A smile is a charity i love to smile a lot its like my second nature ,ny sister also like to smile a lot ppl call her "adik senyum" 🙂

+Somaya Star Asalaamalaikum! if you get pocket money you could save a few cents every time you get it. Then even if you can't directly give it you can ask your parents to put that money you saved to a charity.

On the authority of Abu Dharr reported, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him said: Some of the Prophet’s companions came to the Prophet and said, “O Messenger of Allah, the rich have taken the rewards. They perform prayer as we pray, they fast as we fast, and they give charity from their extra wealth.” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied by saying: أَوَ لَيْسَ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ مَا تَصَّدَّقُونَ إِنَّ بِكُلِّ تَسْبِيحَةٍ صَدَقَةً وَكُلِّ تَكْبِيرَةٍ صَدَقَةً وَكُلِّ تَحْمِيدَةٍ صَدَقَةً وَكُلِّ تَهْلِيلَةٍ صَدَقَةً وَأَمْرٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ صَدَقَةٌ وَنَهْيٌ عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَفِي بُضْعِ أَحَدِكُمْ صَدَقَةٌ Has not Allah made for you ways to give charity? In every glorification of Allah there is charity, and in every declaration of His greatness there is charity, and in praise of Him is charity, and in every declaration of His oneness there is charity, and enjoining good is charity and forbidding evil is charity, and in a man’s intimate relations with his wife is charity. They said, “O Messenger of Allah, is there a reward for one who satisfies his passions?” The Prophet said: أَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ وَضَعَهَا فِي حَرَامٍ أَكَانَ عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا وِزْرٌ فَكَذَلِكَ إِذَا وَضَعَهَا فِي الْحَلَالِ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرًا You see if he were to devote himself to something forbidden it would be a sin. Likewise, if he were to devote himself to something lawful he will have a reward. Source: Sahih Muslim 1006 Authenticity:Sahih

CHARITY IS NOT ONLY MONEY. THE PROPHET PBUH SAID EVERY GOOD WORD YOU SPEAK IS CHARITY. ANY STEP YOU TAKE TO THE MOSQUE IS CHARITY. COLLECTING HARMFUL SUBSTANCES FROM THE GROUND WHERE PEOPLE PASS IS ALSO SADAQAH. AIDING SOMEONE TO LOAD HID LUGGAGE IS ALSO SADAQAH.

I think he was referring to the 5 pillars of Islam. Prayer, zakat, fasting etc. At least that is what I think he is referring to.

Assalamualaykum, Shaykh was referring to this Ayah: (Surah Maidah: Ayah 12) "... ۖ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنْتُمْ بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ..." "...And Allah said: "I am with you if you perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat and believe in My Messengers; honour and assist them, and lend to Allah a good loan. Verily, I will remit your sins and admit you to Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise)..." Hope that clarifies it InshaAllah

+Saba T It basically means when you do something for your creator and sustainer. It's in Allah's cause means that you are doing it to please your creator and not to show-off to anyone or anything self-centered like that. hope that helps.

yes, thank you. only, if it says that Allah doesn't need us, he is self-sufficient. we need Allah. so, how can we possibly do anything FOR Him? I understand that we do things to please Him. or avoid doing things that makes Him angry. But i cant really understand how can we do things for Him, i thought He doesn't need anyone doing things for Him, He can do everything Himself.

ohw all right. ill try to give an example but obviously Allah is no comparison to the example I will give. If your mother knows how to cook she is healthy and fit and has the capability of cooking that day, is not tired or anything of that regard, but you do it FOR her anyway, because even if you know she can do it herself and doesn't need your help you want to show that you love her right? does that make sense?
