dear sir, you don't have to apologize for anything, you are doing your best as a teacher, guide, friend & a mentor, i don't know what anybody thinks but for me you did go through a great extend for helping me out which i will never forget and I can proudly say you are my great friend and the best mentor, i hope i could be of any help in near future for you as well, coz a friend in need is a friend indeed.
