Sooo a small tip for anyone who wants to do this. Save yourself a bit while hunting the stairs. They will never appear next to a wall, or right around the stairs you just came down. It helps with the smaller rooms anyways.

ACKSHULLYYY ..... It's a remake of both Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) and More Friends of Mineral Town combined into one game, given a facelift and with some improvements and weird stuff added

This is the method I thought I was clever for figuring out back in the day 😅 I do this in any HM game I can make it work on. If you're gonna be poor in reality may as well be rich and have a pet capybara in HM.
