I agree with Ian. Stop tap dancing around the truth people. The whole industry is trash . Rumors have been swirling about Diddy , Jay z , and among many others having a shady background for years. People acting surprise STOP IT! The most disgusting part is many people knew about these people toxic behavior and still dealt with them for money and fame. Everyone needs to be held accountable. Have some respect and integrity about yourself. Stop idolizing these people. Anyone can be taken down .

Kenny Burns made a point that the [fans - I change it to include non-African Americans] did not hold R. Kelly accountable for his actions especially when the video came out. The video coming out in the 2000s should have made it mainstream news but never did until the documentary - that was beginning of R. Kelly downfall. Again, many who have seen the video justified that the young lady look mature and was doing things that a 13 year olds did not do. We hold women accountable for their behaviour - look at how she dressed, why was she in room with grown men etc. and we overlook men's bad behaviour by saying boys will be boys. Truth is the law does not protect women - PERIODT.

Everyone gave good points. Rashad saying The “people” in charge will always put you in your place. Ian and Kenny is right because the community and consumers are accountable because we bought into the branding, concerts and products/merch. I went to investfest the year diddy headline and I refused to hear him speak, I stayed in the vendor area because certain foul people, my spirit wont allow me to celebrate. I grew up in that era too, diddy behavior on making the band, including his ego was enough for me to question his character. But the cameras don’t force nobody to make artists do tortuous things like walk to Brooklyn for some damn cheesecake. You got to say to yourself if this mug treats people like this on camera, how does he treat people behind closed 🚪 doors. Crazy that Rashad that about dudes who can’t get over their ex, my ex really followed me to investfest last year. When in previous years I went, he had negativity about me going.
