I so appreciated you scoping out how early you should get in line to make the most out of your party if you are a guest only doing the party that day. I recognized as a passholder you could have just gone in early but you didn’t just talk the talk, you stood the stand for the rest of us. I also loved that you didn’t take up a spot in the tron queue so that a less frequent visitor might have a shot. Your natural thoughtfulness always shines through, thanks! My husband and I studied your Genie+ videos before our trip earlier this month. Thanks to you we were able to ride EVERY ride in every park. Rode Rise of Resistance twice! We park hopped from Animal kingdom to Epcot and still rode everything including flight of passage thanks to your tips. Another great video from Ear Scouts! What other creator would forgo their AP privileges to sit in line for two hours just to help the rest of us know how early we need to show up. Lots of great tips here that really helped us maximise our party night last night. We stumbled upon an "unofficial" MVMCP overlay that might be fun for those with younger kids... We were on the people mover at 6:59pm and got a bird's eye view of the Tomorrowland Speedway lights turning on and got a great view of the track, lights and music in Space Mountain! Thanks again Rob! Rob- Hello, I am a recent subscriber to your YT channel and really enjoy your videos. I haven't been to Disney in 20 years, I am planning on taking my eight year old to Disney for a surprise from Dec 16-22, I know the timing isn't ideal due to crowds but it's the only time I can go. We plan to go to two days of Magic Kingdom, one day at Epcot and one day at Hollywood Studios. I plan to buy Genie+ and ILL for the big rides that we can. My worry is that it's going to be so crowded that we won't be able to ride very many rides. It will likely be a few more years before we can come back so I'll willing to pay extra for Genie + and ILL's. Given that we are coming the week before Christmas what should my expectations be in terms of being able to experience as much as possible. Thank you for your helpful videos, Shawn

Hi Nikki - we came up about 10 minutes before as I recall. It is not as crazy in the hub during the parties. Hi Daisy - I was right behind the statue of Walt and Mickey (it’s called the Partners statue and you can’t miss it - it’s right in front of the castle). As for the parade, it only lasts about 17 minutes, but if you watch it anywhere other than Frontierland, you have to wait for the parade to get to you. If you are in the castle area, it will wrap up at 11:30. I’d say you have time to jump on Space Mountain and MAYBE one more. Hope you have a great time!

Thanks Rob, I was waiting for your video to come out. I always appreciate your good work. Just a caution to others, they shut down some of the meet and greets before the end of the party. We went last night and Stitch shut down about the time of the last parade so we didn’t have the chance to see him after the parade. We had a good time but there were long waits for every character that I could see. We did manage to catch Jack and Sally and the 7 dwarfs.

This is true - and I wish I knew when they shut them all down, but it is a little haphazard it seems. I think it depends on how busy they are and whether they are a featured character for the party. For example, Genie stopped meeting people REALLY early at Not-So-Scary, but Seven Dwarfs continued till nearly the end (but they cut off the line about an hour early because it was so full). Good tip!

Hi Rob, thank you for the great video. I want to get your opinion on something. My wife and I are coming to spend 4 days at Disney World to celebrate our anniversary. This is our first time and we are struggling to choose between Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for our Magic Kingdom Day or to skip the party and do a regular day at Magic Kingdom. For a first time visitor, would you suggest... 4-day base ticket and spend one full day at each park? 4-day park hopper and go the morning of a party day to Magic Kingdom and park hop to another park. Then on the non-party day start at one park and hop to Magic Kingdom to watch fireworks? A three-day base ticket and a Mickey's very Merry Christmas party ticket?

Hi Brad and Melinda! This is a tough one. As much as I love this party, it is not a good way to experience Magic Kingdom because there is not time to enjoy the regular attractions as well as the party. For this reason, I’d say 4-day park hopper is the best option. That said, if you have been to MK before and are okay with skipping many of the attractions there, you could focus on just the ones you care most about starting at 4 and then start enjoying the party around 7. But know that you’ll likely miss a lot of them. You’d also miss the regular fireworks show since they don’t run it on party days. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much. Believe it or not, this was all shot with the new iPhone 15 Pro Max and a DJI OM6 gimbal. The combo of the gimbal and the new zoom lens on the 15 allows for some pretty amazing shots - even in low light. We also shoot at 24fps, which helps by allowing more light to reach the sensor. Everyone can see the Frozen Holiday Surprise, but the others are exclusive to the party until right before Christmas. I can’t remember when they start, but around Christmas Eve, they run the parade and fireworks for day guests. I don’t remember whether the stage show is included, but I think it wasn’t. Hi Katie! Unfortunately, they will sometimes cut off the lines for folks who don’t have wristbands before 6 if there is a long wait. I’d say do a ride like Mine Train at least an hour early and focus on rides with short waits a little before the party starts. Thanks for watching! 😃

Hello! It seems like Jack and Sally didn’t have such a long wait later in the evening this year. Really, none of the character meet and greets had as long of a line as they did last year. It may have just been because it was the first night so it was a somewhat different crowd than normal. As I watched videos from other folks today I was surprised to see how many characters they were able to knock out with low waits. Molly with Mammoth Club mentioned that Jack and Sally had little to no wait shortly before the parade and Mr. Morrow found it with a 30 minute wait a little after 7, I think. Hope you get lucky with a short wait, as well! 😃

Hello! I’m actually editing that video right now. That first night was pretty challenging. I’m trying to figure out how to make a video that will help people have a better night than we did. 😅 I think once Disney sorts out some of their issues, it could potentially be a fun night, but it’s very different from Very Merry. It was hard to do as much as you can typically do at the MK parties because the park is smaller and they didn’t seem to have figured out how to meet the demand for a lot of stuff.

Good question. I’m not sure if Swan & Dolphin run buses later to cater to the parties, but if they don’t you could always take the bus to Boardwalk or Yacht & Beach and walk over.

Fair enough. I know some people who mainly go for pictures with rare characters/outfits and I know others who go mainly for short waits on rides. For me, it’s the shows and ride overlays that I like the best. Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. 👍
