The scene with him chasing her at around 0:44. Damn. It pictures perfectly the aggression, desperation and shame with which you chase that which had been eluding you all your life. But all you do is scare it, making it run away faster. ''Noone'' helps a beggar, with a few exceptions. But realizing you are one makes it so easy to be angry and hateful. And no-one likes a negative person either. It's like a never ending cycle. Quite tragic. Until you break the cycle.

Earshot almost instantly made it to my top five favorite bands, knocking a few giants down, with just this song. Then I found Not Afraid, Get Away, Missunderstood and from there I just devoured their music with zeal. Sure, yes, they started off as essentially a tool/perfect circle esque band, but if you hear their music enough, you start to see how original they really are. I would never mistake a song by Earshot with Tool or Perfect Circle anymore. I think one of the biggest issues they had was that Maynard didn't just create his bands, he created a genre of music, and unfortunately, anyone who writes music in that genre ends up labeled as Tool Clones. Earshot is not a tool clone.

@@Dutasteride_Blaster88 thanks :) I'll be OK I suppose.... I have to be. I now live solely for the sake of my 9 & 7 year old daughters Jaycee & Kaydee. They're my world. I've been a single dad May 2013 and it's be just the 3 of us since Jaycee was 31 months and Kaydee was tiny haha 😁 she was only 5 months old at the time. I'm so thankful that I have my kids and they're with me but I kinda feel like a failure to my kids because they have spent the last almost 7 years without a real mother figure in their life. My kids barely know their mom cause although she's only 30 mins drive away she only bothers to try to see them usually once every 2 to 4 months then she will keep them for a weekend and then I'll pick them up and bring them home and boom their mom is a ghost again for months at a time. Hell she doesn't even make a simple phone call to check on them even once during those months of absence.... Only contact I have with my ex wife is when she'll call the few day prior to the weekend she wants to keep them then I'll see her very briefly while I'll deliving/receiving my precious cargo their with her. know why my ex is like that cause I'm very civil and kind to her and we're on good terms now(despite my horrific marriage to her) and I do anything I can for her if she ever needs something and I always make a way and provide transportation to and from, and I even buy groceries and take to make damn sure my monkeys are fed well there... ANYTIME their mom should ask to keep them.My girls are basically always by my side and we're close... Those girls are my everything and my whole world 😊 my life has no purpose at all without my 2 girls. But anyways I'll be fine I suppose. Thanks tho.
