I don't know who Superman is anymore, much less anyone in any of the Marvel Universes. "Families" are also stupid. Bat families and SpiderVerses and all of the crap. And if that wasn't enough, in the movie world, there are versions associated with actors and directors as well. It's insane. Remember the great days when THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON was really that. Now Kryptoniams are just coming out of the woodwork. Everywhere you look there's another symbol of the house of El emblazoned on someone's chest.

That's Zenith (Chris Kent/Lor-Zod) - biological son of Zod, adopted son of Clark. I don't know much about the character, but he was changed from his comic book counterpart for Earth-27. I'm pretty sure the name "Zenith" is new - I think he may have been the Kryptonian Nightwing. Something like that, but my Superman lore knowledge is pretty small.

Still remains to be seen what the actual suit looks like. I have to imagine it’s just coincidence and a similar line of thinking. Roy came up with the idea back in 2016, but ultimately we’re all taking from Alex Ross. IF Earth-27 influenced Gunn in any way, I would be honored! But I honestly think he must have been pulling from official sources, not fan art/fan fiction lol. My mind would be blown if the suit ends up looking like our design.

I am so sick and tired of DC comics of changing the symbol on Superman's chest, let alone his costume!! I wish they would revert back to the original and traditional "S" that represents and symbolizes the "House of EL!"

So, a couple things: 1: Which one do you consider the "original" symbol, because the first one from Action Comics #1 looks completely different to the typical symbol most people are used to (the post-crisis to pre-new 52 symbol). 2: The S symbolizing the House of El wasn't a thing in the comics for a long time. Originally, in the mid 40s, it was established that Clark made the symbol himself when he created the Superboy costume for himself. The S stood for Superboy, later Superman, Saving lives, Stopping crime, and giving Super-Aid. Later in the early 50s it was established in the Adventures of Superman show that Martha Kent was the one that made the S Symbol. Superman: The Movie in 1978 was the first to actually bring in the idea that the S symbol represented the House of El but that wouldn't transfer into the comics, instead the symbol and costume were established to be made by either the Kents or Clark himself. It would first be explained like that in the comics in 2002 and it has stuck in comics since. For a vast majority of comic continuity, the S symbol had nothing to do with the House of El
