I LOVE this fact about the first Thor movie, and I never really get the chance to share it. He threw the cup because he was in a bad mood while they were filming the scene and just kinda felt like it and it caught everyone off guard and everyone’s reaction was completely real making for the perfect scene that the director loved so much and thought fit in the movie perfectly!

love the fact that, thor comes from another planet, knows nothing about earth, but knows english very well. Even the animal horse on the earth is called exactly "horse" in asgard.

There's an explanation for this in the comics. Since Thor is a god, he uses the All-Tongue, meaning he can speak any language or he can speak his own native language but everyone else hears it in their own native language.
