why is the A1 and A2 tapping from the cables after the CBCT? if ELR sends a tripping signal to MCCB, wont the ELR loses its aux supply as well? A1 and A2 should be taking supply at the incoming cables before the MCCB. your diagram is flawed

That's exactly what I thought too. The diagram has a problem. Like you said, auxiliary power should be taken from the incoming side of the MCCB. If wired as shown here, the ELR will lose its power when the shunt coil causes the MCCB to trip. The sad part of the story is that no one seems to care even after the mistake has been pointed out.

CBCT is always connected in the incoming power supply, so here it is. From the bottom side power is coming from. Diagram is okay but only thing here is not mentioned is the incoming & outgoing supply.
