Ah yes, the good old one man tank. Let's see, Sherman had five crew, as did Pershing and Caffee. Lee had six or seven. Stuart had four. Nope, can't remember a single one man tank.

What? You didn't see Rambo 3? It was a favorite of Delta Co, 1st Tanks. Best comedy ever.

Alex drove the tank somewhere, then crawled through to the turret, then loaded a shell, and then aimed the main gun and fired it. Been back and forth to fire again and again. Bit of a stretch but hey it's Syfy

What was the minimum crew for the S tank?

In a later interview when a reporter asked Alex how he achieved everything, his answer was, “Around 80,000 pounds of plot armor”.

Even if the tanks were mechanically sound, the fuel would not be, although I really can't imagine anyone being foolish enough to put a tank in long term storage with the fuel still in it. This is a story for a six year old.

But even if it had fuel, the front and rear seals would be rotted out. But even if they were some high tech super secret World War 2 wonder seals that never rot, it probably had it's batteries pulled before going into storage. But even if it didn't, the batteries would be loooong dead. But even if by some miraculous chemistry defying happenstance they still had some juice left in them, there would be no ammo. But even if some chucklehead had stored the tank with ammo, the primers would all need to be carefully cleaned. But even if the ammo was in good shape, the gun carriage recoil mechanism is probably seized. But even if the gun carriage is healthy, the radios would be gone. But even if the radios were still onboard, he probably fried them with a back surge when turning over the engine. But even if he didn't, there would be years of corrosion from condensation on the plugs, points, rotor, coil contacts, etc. But even if there wasn't, there's likely some significant condensation built up in the sights. But even it there wasn't, even if everything was in perfect working order after 80 years in storage, even if it had fresh fuel and ammo and batteries, how does this civilian know how to operate any of it?

How about using an Abrams tank?
@sparkeyjames28 күн бұрын
Yeah the author really should have used that tank. An old WWII tank is either a sherman m4 or one of the tank killer models. The only thing is the Sherman has a much more serviceable diesel engine vs the turbine in the Abrams which has a shorter service life especially in desert situations.
