@@paulmerritt8593 UNDERSTANDING WHAT IS THE COMPARATIVE AND BALANCED BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF THE MAN WHO IS STANDING ON WHAT IS THE MOON: The BULK DENSITY of the Moon is comparable to that of (volcanic) basaltic LAVAS on the Earth. The energy density of LAVA IS about three times that of water. SO, now, get a good and CLEAR look at what is the ORANGE SUN. The human body is, in fact, about as dense as water ! Look up at the blue sky. Importantly, this is a balanced BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE !! The Moon is ALSO BLUE, AS it is barely visible then; AND the Earth is ALSO BLUE. SO, let's now match up (on balance) the eye, the blue sky, AND the ORANGE "Sun"/LAVA. Notice the basic match in sizes and brightness when considering the SETTING AND fully illuminated Moon AS WELL. (Most of the human body is water, with an average of roughly 60 percent. The average density of the Moon is also 60 percent in comparison with that of the Earth.) Beautiful. Relatively speaking, the terrestrial moon is, in fact, roughly a match (regarding it's size, at 27 percent) WITH the surface land area of the Earth (at 29 percent). In conclusion, in establishing the comparative AND BALANCED BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE of gravity on what is the Moon, we would multiply one HALF times one third in order to get the correct answer. This explains quantum gravity, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity; AS gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE. Accordingly, the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches it's revolution !!! Great. Consider the relation with the tides. The Moon is ALSO BLUE. E=MC2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE. This NECESSARILY represents, INVOLVES, AND DESCRIBES what is possible/potential AND actual IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. In conclusion, I have mathematically proven that the gravity of what is THE MOON is ONE SIXTH in direct comparison with what is THE EARTH/ground; AS gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE; AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS GRAVITATIONAL force/energy IS proportional to (or BALANCED with/as) inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. Think QUANTUM GRAVITY !!! Think energy DENSITY. It all CLEARLY makes perfect sense ON BALANCE. The ENERGY DENSITY of LAVA is about THREE TIMES greater than water. There would be no gravity on the blue Earth, AS the EYE then stands in balanced relation WITH what is the BLUE sky !! BALANCED BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE does then dictate that the gravity of WHAT IS THE MOON would be reduced by (and at) one half, thereby bringing the surface gravity of what is THE MOON to BALANCE with that of THE EARTH/ground at one sixth. So, one half (ON BALANCE) of one third is one sixth. The orange "Sun" AND what is THE MOON ARE BALANCED with what is THE EYE. (Think about what is LAVA.) Notice, comparatively, that these forms or manifestations ARE semi-detached in relation to touch/tactical EXPERIENCE !! Moreover, the Moon is TERRESTRIAL in COMPARISON; SO (ON BALANCE) the Moon is ALSO then about one quarter (at 27 percent) the size of EARTH/ground !! The blue Pacific OCEAN takes up about HALF of the view of what is the Earth ON BALANCE !! SO, we WOULD multiply ONE HALF (ON BALANCE) in order to account for WHAT IS THE MOON, this ORANGE "Sun", AND LAVA on balance !! Now, in conclusion, the land surface area of the Earth is 29 percent. This is exactly ON BALANCE WITH BOTH one third AND one fourth, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity ! E=MC2 IS CLEARLY F=ma ON BALANCE ! Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. Great. By Frank DiMeglio

i can tell you why this narrator makes no sense with his explanation. The side we only can see has asteroid/meteor impacts sites all over it, how is that possible if its only facing the earth? Did earth shoot at it with its own meteorites? Or did meteorites slingshot around the moon to hit it? If that is lol, the impact sites would look like a plain crash and have drag of moon dirt not big holes... Unless it stopped in space looked down and said "Hmm... I want to plop myself right ova m'hea... And the vibrated itself giving it more kinetic energy build up due to the lack of room to gather more speed so it can drill deep deep into the God Damn Moon LMFAO! That is all...

In case the density of the Moon is uniform the center of gravity which does not coincide with the center of the Moon could move without problems. Am I thinking wrong? Why then can the Earth relative to the Sun rotate? Doesn't the same principle apply here?

shortly after this video was published, nasa's epic camera supposedly took a picture of the earth and moon from the 1st le grange point 1 million miles from here. so the answer to his first question would logicly be yes. the dark side of the moon does see the sun. i've got a couple of problems with the photo though. 1. why is the earth so bright in all itz majesty but the moon doesn't reflect any light at all although it iz too facing the sun? 2. how come the earth looks sooo big compared to the moon on that photo but photos taken FROM the moon show the earth as sooo small? well there's for sure some kind of bullshit involved here. just like this video. truth iz,... nobody knows a thing about the moon except that it is there. our tides as are independant of the moon as is the moons light independant of the sun. and this guy needs my tuition more than my university. z.

Easy explanation for people with a school project and don’t have time for the video: This is called “synchronous rotation of the moon”. The side we see is the “near side”, while the one we don’t see is called the “far side”. Part of the reason we only see the near side is because of the rotation of the moon while it orbits the Earth. Why does it rotate like this? Because of the Earth’s gravitational pull and how large the moon is, the pull is stronger on the near side and the far side. This odd gravitational pull mechanism causes the near side to be “pulled” towards the Earth, causing it to face us. Did that help? Just thought I’d try to help the confused people in the comments.

Best explanation ever, fantastic. I finally get why the moon being "tidally locked" around the earth entails a time taken to complete one revolution (27 days) and the time taken to orbit around the earth (27.322 days) being near equivalent- and thus 360 degree rotation time is (99%) synchronised with the time it takes to complete one 360 degree orbit. So observers see 99% the same face (give or take the viewing of 8 degrees of the far side) Thank-you.

Yes it's pretty good. One minor exception was the explanation of tidal locking implied that the moon would tidally lock if it was spherical. Tidal locking depends on deformation. If it is not deformed and it's inertial mass is distributed evenly it will not lock. Well it might, given enough time because nothing is perfectly rigid but the deformation came before the tidal locking when the moon was close to the Earth and molten.

Because of that,the intersection of the moon's equator and Prime meridian is considered on the moons near side and it is also the central point. The point which is referred to any divison of the moon into two hemispheres one more thing to consider is that the moons axis of rotation is tilted as well as earth's.but moon's tilt is at an angle of 5.15° with respect to the plane of the earths orbit about the sun *if this tilt of moon was zero. We could have total Solar and Lunar eclipse every month and also the moon's orbit is not circular. It is elliptical. @Swinebagger Hatevirus I did look it up and thats how I got to this video haha triggered much? Why don't you whine and cry some more? Oh and of course keep insulting people. You said the earth doesn't affect the moon even half as much as the sun yet the only thing were here for is to learn about the Earth's affect on the moon. The Earth is the reason for the moons current orbit, the sun doesn't need to be mentioned in this video we are only here about the relationship between the earth and the moon everyone already knows the sun is the reason for the planets position in the solar system nobody needed further explanation about the sun. You're having a fuckin aneurysm about irrelevant information that no one came to this video needing to know about.

Something doesn't make sense here. The center of gravity isn't necessarily a fixed place in a spherical object. As a spherical moon rotates, the center of gravity wouldn't follow that rotation; it would be fixed in space relative to the earth's gravitational field, assuming a homogeneous density within the moon, but not fixed relative to the moon itself. The above assumes a spherical moon. If gravity has distorted the shape from spherical, and the rate at which that distortion csn change is much slower than the moon's rotation then the center of gravity would indeed change with rotation.

1) Does the far side of the Moon ever see the Sun? Yes, it does. 2) Can you see the Earth from the far side of the Moon? No, you can't. 3) If you stood on the middle of the near side of the Moon and looked straight up, what would you see? Would it ever move from being directly above you? You would see the Earth, and it wouldn't ever move from directly above you.

This is easily the best explanation I've ever seen visually with the added benefit of having answers to common questions that intrinsically come after understanding the basic mechanics of gravitational pull and rotation. As I speculated whether the earth's rotational speed had ever been faster in the past, and whether it would slow to match the moons orbital speed, you answered both questions. I know I learned all this in school, almost 15 years ago, but because of the abstract nature of these concepts, it's all too easy to forget these little details. Thank you for your hard work

I had a huge argument with an athletic coach who substitute taught one day in my high school physics class. We were studying motion of bodies, i.e. translation versus rotation. He used the moon as an example of a body that translates but does not rotate. I responded that it did rotate but only once per circumtranslation. He did not accept my explanation, so I used myself as the moon moving around a desk as the earth to demonstrate that it had to rotate in order to maintain the same side facing the earth. He replied, "Well, if you want to call that rotational motional." I gave up.

Good video but one important thing is missing : differences in Moons density. The Moon's true center of gravity is slightly offset from its geometrical center. It is caused by little differeces in density of Moon’s material. Imagine Moon somewhere in deep space separate from Earth. It is slightly more dense on the side where vast Lunar seas are located. That causes center of Moon’s gravity (POINT A) is a little bit shifted from its geometrical center (POINT B) Now, place the Moon next to Earth again. Point upon which Earth tugs as the author say in 3:48 h have to be shifted just towards specific direction on the Moons surface - more dense side of the Moon which we can see today.

I got you homie 💪 1. Yes, the far side of the Moon faces sun. Because orbiting motion of only Moon and Earth is locked. So, in solar eclipse what we see is near side of moon is facing at us and far side of the moon is facing Sun🌞. 2. No, we can't see Earth from far side of the Moon.(for obvious reasons) 3. We would see the Earth😉.
@michaelwadederosa1810
@michaelwadederosa1810 4 жыл бұрын
Answer 1: Yes you would see the sun from the far side of the moon. Just because the far side faces away from the Earth at all times doesn't mean it faces away from the sun. You would get approximately 1 sunrise and 1 sunset per month. Answer 2: No you would never see the earth from the far side of the moon without cheating (putting into orbit some kind of ridiculously gigantic mirror) Answer 3: You would only ever see the earth high in the sky directly overhead. The earth would be spinning so you would be able to see all the different sides of it at different times, but it would appear to have phases just like our view of the moon does. In fact I believe the earth phases would be more or less inverse to our moon phases. Approximately every month while the moon appears full from earth's perspective the earth would appear as ball of blackness from the moon's perspective. This is because during that part of the moon's orbit, the moon is behind the earth from the sun's perspective. About half a month later as the moon continues it's orbit, the moon will find itself in between the earth and the sun. At this time from the earth's perspective we would see a new moon (moon looks like a ball of blackness,) and from the moon's perspective you would see a "full earth." Answer 3 begs the question: Isn't there a famous quote from the Apollo days about the earth "rising over the moon's horizon"? Either my answer is wrong, or that quote must not have been said from the moon's surface, but instead from the perspective of an astronaut orbiting the moon in a spacecraft.

Thank you so much for your work on this video. I suffered a traumatic brain injury several years ago and I have a hard time wrapping my head around certain things. As another person said , this is the first time I’ve ever got a grasp on the subject. The way you used the yellow line to show the moon’s rotation all while revolving around the earth was such a great way to show how it all works. I now have a grasp of the process. It’s not the strongest grasp but at least I can conceptualize the process. I would love for you to do a video on why the sun and moon appear bigger on the horizon. I’m no flat earther. I know it’s some sort of optical illusion but I don’t believe it’s because of having buildings or land features as a backdrop. I think it must have something to do with the atmosphere? Maybe? Even the police dept notes a crazy increase in crime around the full moon. Aka “lunatic”. From the word “lunar”. I think there is more to this and this is also a lot of “belief “ system stuff that he is going on about. I wonder if the moon was square if people would assume the earth was also. ( acknowledging that nasa admits there are no “actual “ photos of the earth. They are all “composite images “. Another good word. Legally an “image “ isn’t necessarily a photo. They can’t say photograph if it’s not. Def something up w this.
